Introduction

This guide is for how to summon and defeat Deerclops. I don’t recommend fighting them if you are Summoner class as all of its drops are for Melee ,Ranged and Magic

How to summon Deerclops

Deerclops is summoned using a Deer Thing which is Crafted at a demon altar using 3 flinx fur, 1 lens and 5 demonite/crimtane ore. It can be summoned at any time in a snow biome.
 
 
 

Best strategy to defeat Deerclops

Best way to defeat Deerclops is by creating a platform high above it as its attacks tend not to work on things above it (DO NOT GO DIRECTLY ABOVE IT AS IT WILL SUMMON 5-6 NIGHTMARE HANDS IF YOU DO) it can also inflict slowness so swiftness potions are very useful. note that this boss does not despawn when it kills you so if you have a bed there and a area where it cant escape you can continue the fight. If you are in expert/master mode the shield of Cthulhu is extremely useful for dodging.
