An in depth tutorial on how to use the Oujia Board and all possible phrases and what they do.

Introduction

So, you’ve found yourself with a sketchy looking game board with a heart looking chip with a hole in it. You ask one of your teammates, “What is this”? Then, the heart thing starts moving! It spells out “Oujia Board” using the hole in the middle of the chip. You ask it something else, “Where are you?” is spells out “Utility Room”. That must be the ghost room! You start to go to the Utility Room when the board freaking explodes! You didn’t say goodbye, so now, the ghost is about to beat yo a*s!

What is the Oujia Board?

– The Oujia Board is apart of the 6 cursed possessions that spawn in every contract. There is a 1/6 chance to have the board spawn in your contract.

– You can ask the board questions, and the ghost will move the chip on the board to answer the question.

– Using the board will decrease your sanity based on how helpful the question is.

– The board has a chance to spawn in every map.

– Since it is a cursed possession, take a picture of it for some extra cash.

– You can take the board outside of the investigation area, but it will be unusable.

What questions can you ask?

Location Questions

These questions drain %40 of your sanity

When you ask any of these questions, the ghost will return to you its exact location, which is likely going to be the ghost room.

• Where are you?
• What is your favorite room?
• What is your room?
• Where is your room?

The following questions will only tell you if you are in the ghost room, so not useful in a map like Asylum, but only drain %20 sanity.

• Are you here?
• Are you close?

Bone Question

This question will drain %20 of your sanity

This question will return to you the exact room of the bone.

• Where is the bone?

Sanity Questions

These questions drain %5 of your sanity

Asking these questions will return to you a range of how sane or insane you are. This is especially helpful on Nightmare mode.

• What is my sanity?

The ghost will respond with:

• Healthy if your sanity is above %80
• Good if your sanity is between %60 and %80
• Average if your sanity is between %40 and %59
• Bad if your sanity is between %20 and %39
• Awful if your sanity is below %20

The ghost will respond with:

• Not Very if your sanity is above %50
• Very if your sanity is between %25 and %50
• Insane if your sanity is below %25

• Maybe if your sanity is between %20 and %89
• Yes if your sanity is below %20

Age Questions

These questions drain %5 sanity

These questions are not helpful in your investigation unless you are trying to spark EMF 5. The ghost will use the numbers on the board to respond to you.

• How old are you?
• Are you old?
• Are you young?
• What is your age?

Death Questions

These questions drain %5 sanity

These are a lot like the age questions, the ghost will use the numbers to respond to you.

• How long have you been dead?
• When did you die?
• How long ago did you die?
• How many years ago did you die?
• How long have you been here?

Shyness Question

This question will drain your sanity by %20

This question will tell you if the ghost only respond to one or two people instead of everyone while using the spirit box.

• Do you respond to everyone?

Presence Questions

These questions drain sanity by %20

These questions will return to you the number of people in the ghost room, including the ghost.

• How many are in this room?
• How many people are present?
• How many people are in this room?
• How many people are here?
• Who is in this room
• Who is here
• Are we alone?
• Are you alone

These questions are great for trying to find the twins

• How many ghosts are here?
• How many ghosts are in this room?
• How many ghosts are present?

Death Question

This question will drain your sanity by %5

The ghost will tell you how it died

• How did you die?

Purpose Question

This will drain your sanity by %5

This question will tell you why the ghost is here.

• Why are you here?

Feeling Questions

This will drain your sanity by %5

These will tell you how the ghost is feeling (duh)

• How do you feel?
• Are you OK?

Yes/No Questions

These questions will drain your sanity by %5

The ghost will use the Yes or No text to answer your question.

• Am I pretty?
• Are we friends?
• Do you hate me?

and my personal favorites,

• Do you like jazz?
• Do you like pizza?

You can abuse this system a bit by trying to make your own questions.

Joke “Questions”

These questions drain your sanity by %5

These are not questions, but if you feel like torturing your friends and having a bit of fun, go for it.

Hide and Seek

This is going to drop your sanity by %25, but if your not careful it’ll be at a “?”

Now, what my friends told me is that if I say it, it will tell us where it is and we have to go find it. When we find it, it will start a hunt. That is not true. It will count down from 5, then explode and start a cursed hunt. You better run for your life.

Notes, Tips, and Tricks

• You have to say “Goodbye” before walking away or it will explode and start a cursed hunt.
• If you think that you have the twins on a map that has a board, go into the ghost room and ask “How many ghosts are here?”
