A complete look at the fanciest Manor in all of Dark Deception
Oh boy, this map is probably number 3 on the most hated maps, but I’m getting to ahead of myself so lets start over. Welcome to the third guide of my Map Overview: Series, today we are taking a look at a map which doesn’t have to intimidating traps and a boss who will wreck your day with RNG elements otherwise know as Deadly Decadence. This is the third portal in the Singleplayer of Dark Deception so why not make it my third guide of my Series and without further interruptions pull up a chair, have a nice cup of tea, and let’s explore the deadly home of the Gold Watchers.
“ You paid no heed. Now you shall bleed. ”
– Plaque warning
Sadly, the manor is closed to visitors, but the Hegde Maze is still open. Yep, Zone 1 is the map for this game and is literally just same as original and I am not joking this time if it still had the entrance and exit gates it would be perfect. For this map you must collect 450 Shards to win in Maze Escape, which is like every map easier said then done. And that is because of the boss of this map is a pain in the a**. Much every map this maze is really claustrophobic, well kind of.
There is a little more open space for fights to occur but that doesn’t mean that this map has it’s fair share of tight spaces that lean more to one side than the other. Now, there is a bit of hate for this map (Not as much as others) and that be because of the boss for this map but you should watch you step for it’s really hard to run when you are impaled. And on that cheery note, let’s move on to the trap of this maze.
Shall I get to the point of this trap. As you can see it’s the spike trap from the main game and there are in the same areas just like the Original game. These trap would have been easiest traps in the game but unlike the original were if you heard a *clank* sound that would let that a spike trap is nearby and it’s about to launch out its spikes which helped with dodging them. Well, it would have helped but in this game they have no sound other than the spikes coming out and going back in. Here are their basic stats to help you counter these traps. Unlike the original were when they pop out and immediately retract, the spikes in this game have a 2 second pause before they retract. The map can really draw your focus away from things with its traps and boss as well as the Monster or Mortal *depends on game mode*.
If you are unsuccessful in dodging the Spikes don’t worry it will let you know. The Spike will deal a clear 100 damage to anyone who did not try to avoid them, they also will damage Monsters in Maze Escape so use that to your advantage. Headphones are your friend in this level, if you own headphone wear them because they can help you hear where some of the traps are and if they are close. Now, you can still beat this map without them, when Trap Time activates try angling your self to watch the ground and in front of you to better counter these traps.
But now it’s time to talk about the boss, who will ruin your day and be laughing all the way. But it’s not Santa Claus it’s a really big Gold Watcher.
Behold the Untextured Watcher. . . Oops wrong script let me try again.
Behold the TITAN WATCHER!!! Nailed it.
Being the Tallest Boss in the history of Dark Deception, the Titan Watcher makes his presence known for when boss time activates a terrifying yawn fills the maze and once he lifts up his axes your in for one hell of a time. The Titan Watcher works a lot differently then any boss at the time of writing this because unlike every other boss who are programed to a for the nearest player, the Titan Watcher has the most scariest programing ever and it is called RNG.
When the Titan Watcher ( You know, this is to big of a name to say, so from now on I’ll call he Untextured because he is literally untextured.) anyway when Untextured spawns he will will start lobbing Giant Axes into the map. This would have been fine if the axe went in a set pattern, but no he throws them in random places on the map (expect the outer parts of the maps) if you are hit by said axes you will lose 50% of your health (amount lost is determined by class and your current health) at least your supposed to lose 50% but because Glowstick has yet to fix a bug that is involved with this map they will hit you two times meaning if RNG is nice to you it will just be 50% if not, it’s an instant kill.
But not all hope is lost for the axes make a *whoosh* sound will they are airborne so if you hear that take cover quickly or just watch Untextured and see where the axes he threw will land.
Well, this was fun. The next time you’ll see me be sure to bring a mask because where we are going we’ll all float down there and also stink. But before I go always remember, who has the gold makes the rules. GHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
