To activate the statue, you need to connect the statue to a lever / timer / switch using wires. 
 
 

Most useful statues

 
 
Statue of Bast. 
Adds 5 units of armor to the player who is next to the statue (170×125 blocks). 
Not activated by wires. 
 
 
Heart statue. 
Adds 20 units of health to the player who raised the heart. 
 
 
Star statue. 
Adds 100 units of mana to the player who raised the star. 
 
 
Bomb statue. 
An unactivated bomb falls. You can pick up. 
 
 
Boulder statue. 
Spawns an activated boulder. 
Can be crafted from 50 stones and 5 boulders on a heavy workbench in the graveyard biome. 
 
 

Teleporting statues

 
 
Statue of the king. 
Teleports any male NPC. 
 
 
Statue of the queen. 
Teleports any female NPC. 
 
 

Glowing statue

 
 
 
 
Mushroom statue. 
Lights up only when wired to a lever/timer/switch.
