This Guide gives you the historical flavour of the Romanian ships and how to design them for roleplaying and historical playthroughs.

Introduction

The Romanian Navy is one of the smallest in Europe at the beginning of 1936 with 4 ships in their fleet.
This guide aims to bring some historical ships to the Romanian navy as well as some of my own made up designs to interpret what if scenarios for a Greater Romanian navy.

Ships in construction or already in the Fleet

The Regia Marina starts with 4 ships with 1 under construction.

Destroyers

  • Marasti: 2
  • Regele Ferdinand: 2

Submarine

  • Delfinul Cla*s: 1

Destroyers

Marasti Cla*s

Produced: 4
Owned: 2
The first cla*s of destroyers for Romania is the Marasti cla*s. This cla*s consists of 4 ships with 2 in the Romanian fleet whilst the other 2 being kept by the Italians and later given to the Spanish.
The design in-game is how I would design it’s original layout. The design below is the for the 1939 modernisation.
Design for the Cla*s:

Early Destroyer Hull

  • Light Battery I – (120mm)
  • Anti-Air III – (37mm)
  • Fire Control – Your Choice
  • Radar/Sonar – Your Choice
  • Torpedo I – (450mm)
  • Engine I – (45,000hp)
  • Depth Charge
  • Anti-Air I – (50 cal) – Later modernised to Anti-Air II (20mm) in 1943-44

Ships of Cla*s:

  • Marasesti
  • Vifor
  • Viscol

Regele Ferdinand Cla*s

The Regele Ferdinand cla*s is the last cla*s of destroyers for Romania. After this Romania historically focused on Submarines. It’s design in-game isn’t how I would of put it as.
Design for the Cla*s:
