Velen,also called No Man’s Land,is a province located in the north of Temeria,north of its capital Gors Velen.The former province has become a war-torn swamp under Nilfgaardian occupation with borders close to the cities of Novigrad and Oxenfurt.It is one of the main regions of the game and its swamps with dense forests represent dark and mysterious elements of the http://plot.In the depopulated expanses of No Man’s Land one often encounters armed men of all kinds: mercenaries,soldiers of the lost temerian legions,marauders and common bandits.Velen is the place where the forces of the Empire clashed with the armies of the Northern Kingdoms,forcing the battle front both north and south,leaving the area lying in a wasteland wasteland.Its people were tortured and killed.All this suffering only increased the misery that the people of Velen had to experience.
