This guide will discuss Tamura’s “Haunting” ability. It will also list all of Tamura’s skills and what monsters/people she can learn them.

Introduction

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide - Introduction - 1A37AD1

Tamura can learn many of Higashi Nakano’s special abilities. This guide lists all the special abilities that Tamura can learn, and which monsters have those abilities. There are likely other monsters you can learn these abilities from. Please let me know if you spot one!

To learn other abilities, Tamura must be hit with damaging abilities. He can also learn other abilities by simply seeing it once. If you want to force a monster into using an ability so Tamura can use it then one of the best ways to do this is to remove Tamura from the party, and then have him guard until the monster uses that ability.

“Dual Attack”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

TP: 10

Two physical hits. Two physical hits are better than none if Tamura has spare TP and nothing else to put it on.

It would be a great idea to not learn this skill once Tamura joins you in the party. So many early monsters have used it.

Monsters: Gremlins. Charging Knights. Bugbear. Sewer Squid. Wheels.

“Wither 1”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

MP: 15

Non-elemental single target magic damage plus the possibility to inflict Amnesia, which causes monsters not to be able to use Special (TP) abilities. The wither series is vital as it is the only means to inflict Amnesia. I recommend that you find this as soon as you can.

Monsters: Imp and Willy, Mushrooms, Imp, Willy

“Wither 2”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

MP: 30

Non elemental group damage and the chance to inflict Amnesia, as well as an opportunity to inflict the Monsters with an Accuracy Down Debuff.

Monster: Ghost, Train Guard, Wisteria

“Wither 3”

MP: 50

A single target, non-elemental, strong magic damage that can inflict Amnesia and critical hit rate, as well as accuracy and critical hit down.

Monsters: Josh

“1000 Punch Kick!”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

TP: 20

Attacks randomly four time, with two hits per hit. Has a high probability of being missed. Has a high likelihood of inflicting Rage status. Rage causes monsters’ abilities to be used on random targets. This can lead to some very interesting situations, where the monsters heal or buff the party.

Monsters: Bob

“Death Toll”

TP: 20

If they don’t remove the ability, any inflicted monster will die in three turns. It can be used to help you climb the ranks faster than if you fought them all. This ability can be learned by Lee using his random adverse status effect ability.

Learned from: Shadow Slither Shadow Box, Lee

“Brain Tap”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

TP: 10

Tamura’s MP is 50mp damaged on a single target. It is useful for removing a boss’s MP to prevent it healing or using magic attacks, or in an MP emergency. However, Tamura has other important tasks to complete.

Learned from: Mimics, Cockatrices Mall Bats, Forbidden Boxes, Hydrangea

“First Aid”

MP: 12

Weak healing, blindness and sleep removal. This is another of those abilities you’d have trouble avoiding as so many early game monsters use it.

Learned from: Charging Knight, Witch Tatsuya Swamp Creeper, Witch, Tatsuya, Tatsuya, Tatsuya, Stump

“Ethereal Balance”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

MP: 15

This effect grants a state which restores HP based on any magic damage done by the team during the duration. This ability can be used in conjunction with Stephanie Lee, Za, and Tamura. Tamura should use “Ethereal Balance”, then the other party members should deal magic damage.

Learned from: Oleander, Sewerslug

“1-Up”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

MP: 35

Allows a character’s death to trigger a character’s automatic return to life. This is a very important item to have in order to be able to fight the bosses on the final boss fights. Also, it makes it easy to defeat Black Flame monster (floor 27 of the Japanese School).

Learned from: Jilly, Black Flame

“Juju Magnet”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

MP: 25

Attracts all single target magical to Tamura. Tamura is healed by the spell’s MP cost. AOE magic will not harm Tamura but will heal him.

Learned from: Demons, Cockatrices, Wraith

“Spell Shield”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

MP: 20

This prevents a single magic attack from causing serious damage to the entire party. It is very important and will be used for almost every boss fight, from the moment Tamura joins your party until the end. It should not be difficult to learn “Spell shield” from the Sewer Slimes, where you first play Tamura.

Learned from: Winky. Sewer Slime. Spider. Morion.

“Reflex Ward”

MP: 20

While the player holds this status, it lowers the elemental harm of any spell that hits. A party that has a monster using Fire 2 on them will get a defensive buff to prevent fire attacks.

I believe this will only be of any use if you don’t have “Juju Magnet” or “Spell Shield”, as these moves are far better than this one. This is only necessary for completionists.

Learned From: Rock Man. Wrinkles. Kosuke

“Reboot”

TP: 10

Heals all negative and positive emotions and charges a fee based on the effect.

This lesson was learned from Giant Robot and Dark Tank

“Drop The Bass”

The Benza RPG Tamura's Haunting & Skills Guide -

MP: 15

All buffs are removed from monsters. Simple but highly effective! It’s also very simple to master, as Ace1 frequently uses this move in The Benza Combat Arena.

Learned from Ace1
