Pre-Guide Tips

♡ I’d suggest making this it’s own run, for reasons listed in the Post-Guide section.
 
 
♡ I would also suggest this to be own of your earlier endings to aim for after getting all the obvious ones, as this will teach you how to do sections of the game that are required for many of the endings.
 
 
♡ I won’t type out all of the options; if you see multiple options I typed out, that’s because all the ones I typed out are viable.
 
 
♡ Certain spoiley things will be covered wit the spoiler tag.
 
 
 

Step by Step

♡ Either choice will do here.
 
Watch the men in masks
 
Try to communicate with the other captives
 
 
♡ I’d recommend the top option, as the second one drains your sanity (which can be helpful for some endings).
 
Look away
 
Keep watching
 
 
♡ Walk down to the fissure
 
 
♡ Actions → Search Area
 
 
♡This should trigger your first scene with Derek. If not, just hop in and out of another area until you hear a motorcycle noise.
 
Go to the open desert
 
 
♡ Hide
 
 
♡ This doesn’t change much, but Derek will beat you more (and lower your health) if you choose the last option, so I recommend either of the first two.
 
Angry
 
Scared
 
Say nothing
 
 
♡ Accept
 
 
♡ Walk down to the fissure
 
 
♡ Inventory → Canteen → Drink
 
 
♡ Actions → Search Area → Fill canteen
 
 
♡ Stay here
 
 
♡ Go to open desert
 
 
♡ Walk towards the camp
 
 
♡ Inventory → Canteen → Plant
 
 
♡ Go back into the desert
 
 
♡ Walk up to the hill
 
 
♡ This took me a few tries to get this the first time, but I got it the first time while playing through again for this guide. I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone on every route or if I just remembered incorrectly, but I recommend you save here before continuing.
 
→ Actions → Search Area
 
→ Go inside
 
→ If you see a surprised character saying “Dragon!” reload (or watch how this bad end goes) and hit Stay here before trying again. May take have to wait a while.
 
→ If you see a relaxed character saying “Thanks, Dragon~” then continue.
 
 
♡ Wait
 
 
♡ Quick time event! Click the only option!
 
 
♡ So, the result will be the same with these, the only difference is the first option drains your sanity (which, remember, can sometimes be a good thing!).
 
Stab him in the back

♡ You can take to opportunity here to sleep, Stay here, or talk to America’s Sweetheart Tom, until daylight.
 
 
♡ Leave the cave
 
 
♡ Go to the open desert
 
 
♡ This will probably trigger the second scene with Derek; it’s not needed to run into him again, but in case you do…
 
→ Beg
 
→ Quick time event! Click the only option!
 
→ Either option, it doesn’t matter… But once again, the first option will drain your sanity.
 
Kill him
 
Leave him
 
 
♡ Walk down to the fissure
 
 
♡ Choose the top option until you hear some ruckus (usually only once or twice, shouldn’t be long enough forJackto find you).
 
Stay here
 
 
♡ Either option, the only thing that changes is some of the text.

♡ I know about a hidden cave.
 
 
♡ You can talk to Tom, talk to Jaqueline, click Stay here, or sleep until you hear commotion outside.

Post-Guide Tips

♡ Talking to characters will not pass time, but can give you lore on their backstory, alter your stats, or open a route to alter which ending you get.
 
 
♡ Talking to lovely Tom will increase your sanity.
 
 
♡ Talking to Jaqueline will not alter your stats, but if yousaved Tom, you can keep talking to her to unlock the option of keeping your knife or giving it to her, which will change which endings you get afterambushing the camp.
 
 
♡ Talking to D I C K Richard will DECREASE your sanity. Also, if you want any of the 3 hardest to get endings,saving Richard prevents you from getting them.
