This is the worst map in all of the game. Here are a few tips on how to make progress and not get mad.
 

The Bottom

After the voidsphere has broken through the window, it will produce a number of void flylets. Your avatar will change randomly each time a "void fly" hits you.

Short can't do all the jumps on the climb. If this is what you end up with, soft-locked at the bottom of your well can help. You only hope is the main menu and reload. All void flies except one must be killed. Make sure you have a good parkouring avatar such as Fast or Tall. Ironically, even Heavy is better than Short at climbing/parkouring.
 
 
It could also be a bug, or glitch, but Light can sometimes slip through the cracks, and get stuck on a floor. This might not happen for you, but it happened to me once.
 
 
 

The Climb

Remember to take your time, don't rush, and always have a weapon with you when climbing. The climb itself is quite straightforward, but it is important to be alert for any void fly.
 
 
Once you reach a certain height, the pistons in the floor will change your height to Tall when they are placed on you. You will eventually reach the top as Tall, though it is not very important.
 
 
 

Combat

Important points to remember Tall and heavy can't use all guns effectively. It's extremely difficult to reload guns (as pistol,) while playing them. Choose the right weapons.
 
 
As you reach higher parts of the pillar you will find a small section for combat. Here you will find:
 
– A few magical turrets. These projectiles are slow and easy to dodge/avoid, but they can be heavy hitting. You can choose to ignore turrets or take them out.
 
 
The void flies. Now you know what they mean and how to handle them. You have sloo-mo.
 
 
– The voidsphere. Here's a tip I wish I had known from the beginning: destroying it will eliminate all the void fly summoned by it. It is very effective with shotguns and rifles, so you don't have to waste time trying to kill void fly larvae.
 
 
Kill the sphere, then pop the avatar ball. You won't be able to get hit by that turret you ignored.
