No spoilers for the end of Slime Rancher. 
 
So, first of all, we need to turn slimes into largo but I prefer to be sure that they can eat Veggie or Fruits, because meat is hard to have, you need a lot of Coops, and we need space for optimise our ranch. 
Then, take two types of largos in one extension of the ranch that eat the same type of food (in different corrals of course) and buy all upgrades except solar protection, or only for the phosphor slime. 
Buy two gardens with all the upgrades (if possible the Ogden one too) with in it the favorites fruits of the largos in the same extension.

I recommend to put the pond and incinerator in the main extension, because there is more space. 
 
 

The gadgets part

 
Buy the Lab, and unlock Viktor’s Workshop by doing his quests. 
Do the slimeulation minigame, for the manifolds cube, unlock the advanced drone and if possible search for pods around the map that contain more gadgets but that are not very important. 
 
You will need at least one drone for one extension. Remember you sorting the slimes by type of food ? Here’s why : 
The advanced drones can do 2 actions instead of one. If you tell your drone to put veggies in auto feeder, they will put the type food that is already in it (so put the favorite food of the slime), and will not put fruits, so you waste one action, and we need to optimized it. 
 
Put also market links in the extension so your drone can sell the plorts. 
Here is my actions for feeding and selling the plorts : 
 
 
If you have the pond and incinerator, you can put one advanced drone and one drone, and tell them to do these actions : 
 
 
 
The normal drone will take the plorts of the slimes, and the advanced one will feed the slimes while taking the plorts of the pond and incinerator, since the game think that they are in free range. 
 
Now, your slimes will be feed and you will recieve money, but warning, the drones need energy, water to be exact. Before you go on a adventure, make sure to recharge the drones by trowing water on the flower thing. 
 
For security, you can put hydro turrets if you need to, but it’s not a must, except in the area of quantum largo, dervish, and the most dangerous slime, the TANGLE. Why, you may ask ? If the tangle slime is hungry, he can take any food in the extension, and plorts too. Tarr appears, and you waste a lot of time. Make sure that he is alone. 
 
 
You can put teleporters for travelling fast, put chicken cloners, but again, this is not a convenient way of having food. 
 
Tip : If you want the Never Stop Creating achievement, you can change the market links by refinery links, put only pink slimes and do the same as the rest of your ranch because you will need a LOT of pink plorts for gadgets and transform pink slimes into saber tooth or mosaic slimes, put a market link and earn a lot of money that way. Use the ressources for extractors, and use the ressources of the extractors to make more gadgets.

I really recommand to do the little mini games, because they give more upgrades. 
This guide is not made by a pro, even if I played 41h and have all the achievement, I am extremely dumb, so you may find another way to make this more optimized.
