The Rusty Lake devs had to sacrifice the fullscreen option to enable the achievements, hearing some backlash from some fans and lack of info about enabling again, i decided to make this guide to show how you can have that feature on.
 
 

*WARNING*

Following these steps to enable fullscreen will disable the achievements by doing so, i recommend to play for the achievements after a fullscreen play-through cus it’s just a bit more pleasurable to play, it is tho completely reversible, so you can switch between achievements and fullscreen mode.
 
 
 

Enabling a fullscreen compatible version

FOLLOW THESE STEPS

 
 

 
 
*find Rusty Lake: Roots in your steam library.
 
 

 
 
*right click it and go to properties
 
 

 
 
*click on the BETAS section and in the box written NONE, select fallback – beta branch
 
 
**Steam will start downloading the selected version, wait for it to finish and then open
 
 

 
 
*the game will start in an Adobe Flash window, now just press Ctrl+F to enter FullScreen (Ctrl+Q quits the game)
