This guide is intended to assist players who are unable to play the game because of a server error/EA log-in error

Are you experiencing a login error?

As You’ve likely seen from the image that is used for branding When you start up PvZ GW2 (As well as PvZ BFN) It will prompt you to sign into you’re EA account, while stating that the servers are down.

However, this isn’t actually the case rather the game is simply going a little haywire. As you can see below there are two methods to correct it.

Method 1: Launch from Origin and Only Origin

Launching from the origin eliminates this issue for the most part because the error only occurs when launching from Steam or a desktop (Needs additional confirmation)

Method 2: Task Manager

If the above doesn’t work Try these steps:

1. If you receive the error message/picture above, make sure that you’ve closed out the game.
2. Try to launch the Game via Origin. What is likely to happen is that the launcher doesn’t work properly or won’t open at all.
3. Open your task manager or task manager equivalent based on your platform
4. Look for any orange EA logo (matches the origin logo and colors) that are listed and close them out through “task manager”

   

5. Try again to launch the game via Origin, Steam or Desktop

Conclusion

These methods should be able to get your game running more frequently without a lot of problems. I believe the server errors are caused by the game “not” through Origin This is strange and unusual as this issue has been appearing recently. If none of the strategies above work (if the error mentioned is happening) you may also attempt restarting your computer. It’s always good to restart your PC then try these solutions.
