This walkthrough will help you to finish the game.

Introduction

There isn’t any guide for this game yet so I decided to make one. This will be more of a cheat sheet than anything though since you’ll mostly answer Japanese questions.

Walkthrough

– Nagasaki

Head inside the inn and talk to the blue-haired man with a cap. You’are supposed to go to the International Embassy in Nagasaki. Head oustide. You’ll automatically move to another place. Before you enter the building, there is a chest containing 150 gold to the northwest corner.

Talk to the yellow-haired woman to learn some Japanese words. Follow her advice until you’re done. Return to the inn and talk to the blue-haired man again. You’ll be tested. You should know the answer if you pay attention to the people who taught you in the embassy, but here are the answers in case you don’t know.

Return to the yellow-haired woman in the embassy. Return to Dejima wharf and go to the boat house (the house with yellow sign) for your test. Make sure to talk to the man near the counter first to know the answer of some questions in English.
Watashi no namae (h)a
Ni juu san sai
Igirisu shu(tsu)shin desu

Return to the yellow-haired woman. You’re tasked to return to the blue-haired man, which is actually called Question Master (wasn’t it quiz master or something?). Now he asked you to go to Institute of Art to learn some Japanese. It’s the first building that you see in Nagasaki. Interact with the book to the northwest. Once you are done, talk to the black-haired man for a test.
San juu roku
Hyaku hachi juu

Talk to the bald man twice to learn about color. You also can talk to the black-haired woman to learn how it is pronounced. Exit the building and head to the north exit. Cleanse yourself before going north. There is a man that will give you 100 gold to the northwest. Feel free to use the gold to the shrine next to him to increase your stats. Once you’re done, exit the town. You should see a tower to the south enter it.

Explore the area. Enemies should be easy to beat as long as you know what to do. If you forgot the color names, return to the Institute of Art. Pick up the block print at the end of the dungeon and return to Question Master. Now, you must go to the Food Hall. It’s the building east of the Institute of Art.

Talk to the woman in the kitchen twice to learn more about Japanese words. Talk to the people on the table twice to learn more about Japanse and eating culture. Talk to the woman again to get new words and a quest. Exit the building and head to the well. If you need to recover your HP, you can do so by interacting with the bed in the northeast room of the inn’s second floor (do it from the northwest side). It’s free.

Interact with all crates to get items. The chest requires you to answer a test. Solution: Ringo. Talk to the 2 ninjas guarding the boss before you talk to him. Yep, another test.

If you go to the building to the north, the old man will ask you to clear a cavern first. Let’s head to the north exit for now. Interact with the pool to fight a fish. Do it until you get 5 Fillet of fish. Head north afterward.

Talk to the white-haired woman and give him your fishes. You need to talk her 5 times for it. If it doesn’t work, talk to the green-haired man first and ask for a quest. Go to the world map. Head to the far west and enter the cave west from Nagasaki.

Welp, the puzzles have been reset. Answer them again (use the solution in the 𝗙𝘂𝗸𝗼𝘂𝗸𝗮 section if needed). Enter the hole at the last room (you don’t have to answer the quizzes in this room). Interact with the box for another quiz.

You should be able to access a brand new dungeon from there. You’ll eventually reach a room full of prisons and… yes, another puzzles. Let’s tackle it one by one.

You can enter Hiroshima now! Before you got there, return to Tokyou. Head to Fuji san. You should see a man with boulders in this area. Save the man. You can enter the Shrine now. Return to the previous area (the one in 4-way intersection), and head north. Pray there to raise your stat or level. Once you’re done, go to Hiroshima. It’s the town to the far west of this island.

There is a chest with gold in it. Let’s finish the three batches of houses to the north. Defeat all enemies and open all chests. You need to defeat the devil three times to collect Soro Lantern. I’m too lazy to post the solution so just refer to the previous section if you need it.

The path to the northeast area should be open now. Descend to reach a cave. You’ll end up at the castle. Battle the enemies. Most of them are the same as usual although there is a new one. Here’s the answers for succubus.

Afterword

Finally, it’s done! To be honest, most of it was just info dump because most of the game involves in answering questions. I know that I didn’t put all answers in the guide (especially for the enemies), but those are the ones that I could find the answers. I didn’t know most Japanese words before I played this so it also gave me some trouble. I also got stuck several times in the game when I was looking where I was supposed to go next.

The guide is still not complete though. I couldn’t get the 100% completion achievement. If you somehow know how to get it, please do let me know.
