How to Fix EA SPORTS™ FIFA 23 Not Launching Issue
Step 1: Set Up Origin Properly
Alright, first things first. Head over to GitHub and snag the Origin installer using this link: https://github.com
- When installing, go easy on the check-boxes. Just leave the shortcut options checked if you want them on your desktop or menu. No need to over-complicate things!
- Important: Resist the urge to update Origin right now. We’ll get to that.
- Don’t log in just yet. Hold your horses until we’re done with step 3.
- Once you’re done installing, make sure Origin is snoozing (aka, turn it off).
Step 2: Get the Fix and Apply It
Now that Origin is set, let’s tackle the Fix. Download its installer from GitHub and let it cozy up in the same folder as Origin.
- If you’re a Steam lover, make sure to choose the “Pretend EA App Installed…” option while you’re at it. It’s like a secret handshake.
Step 3: Tweak the EACore File
Next, let’s venture into the Origin folder. You’ll find it hanging out at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin. Open up the “EACore” file with a text editor. You’re going to add a little magic spell:
[Bootstrap]
EnableUpdating=false
Once you’ve written that down, save your masterpiece and close the file. Easy as pie.
Step 4: Origin, Here We Come
It’s go-time! Launch Origin and log in with your username and password.
For a smoother ride, open FIFA 23 from within the Origin app, even if you’re a Steam aficionado. Trust me, it’s better this way.
And voila! Sit back, maybe grab some popcorn, and enjoy your game. You’ve earned it!
