Harvest Life is a simple game that you could get 100% achievements within 30 hours of playtime (or even lesser).

The developers and publisher of this game are very helpful, if you encounter any bugs/technical issue, you can post directly in the discussion area, they will revert soonest possible.

Grinding Achievements

This section details all the achievements that require repetitive actions / tasks. May take a while to complete everything.

 

Catching Fish

By just catching fish (when you play the game, there will be a tutorial on how to catch fish) up to the required amount, you will unlock the achievement. In this game, you are required to catch: 25, 100 and 300 fish. 300 fish is the slowest achievement, probably the last to get.

Getting Money

You will earn gold when you sell items in your shop, win gold from the spinning wheel, completing quests, sell honey (automatically credited to your daily total), plundering chests in forests or by being an escort / bodyguard. In this game, you are required to earn: 1000, 5000, 10000 and 20000 gold.

Chopping Trees

You will learn how to chop trees in the beginning tutorial. All you need to do is continue chopping up to 50 trees, you will get this achievement.

Plundering Chests

This can be achieved when you venture into the woods / forests. There are a total of 4 forests. I will write more about the 4 forests in another section. All you need to do is open those chests to the required amount as stated in the achievements. In this game, you are needed to open: 5 chests, 25 chests, 100 chests.

Reading Newspapers

Did you notice postman / postwoman come by your house everyday? Check them daily! Just open it. Do the required number of times and TASK required by the newspapers (if any), you will unlock all the relevant achievements.

In this game, you need to read: 5 times, 10 times and 15 times.
 

Harvesting Crops

You get what you plant – so harvest them! Everything has been clearly stated in the early game tutorial. You can create more fields by using the Plotting Table inside the house. This will speed up the process. You will need to harvest 25 times, 75 times and 200 times.

Plucking Berries

Just go to the berry bush and eat berries. There is no way you can keep berries into your inventory, FYI. They will regrow after a while. Alternatively, you can choose to plant them (extra) by going to the plotting table inside the house. Eat 10 times, 50 times and 100 times.

Gathering Eggs

Your chickens will produce egg if you feed them and give them water. Remember to fill up the troughs in the coop with water and fodder. Just “walk-over” those eggs to collect them. Buy more chickens and build more hen coop to speed up the process of getting eggs. You can build all these in the Plotting Table inside your house. In this game, you are required to gather 25 eggs, 75 eggs and 200 eggs.

Milking Cows

You get 2 cows when you start the game. You can buy more cows from the Plotting Table inside the house. Refer to FAQ for more information. In this game, you need to milk cows to get 25 buckets, 75 buckets and 200 buckets. This achievement might take a while. The 200 buckets of milk is the 2nd longest achievement to get throughout the game.

Selling Goods

As long as you stock up your shop, the system will automatically sell the items for you. Sales will be lower on rainy days. Remember to NOT sell off your chocolates (if you still need them for your Valentine!) You are required to sell 25 items, 75 items and 200 items.

Wolf Whacking

You can defeat the wolves in the forest. Where are the forests? Refer to FAQ in this guide. Once you are in the forest, just walk around or follow the path. Wolves will come out. Just whack them 🙂 You will get achievements after defeating 10 wolves, 50 wolves and 100 wolves.

Completing Quests

Quests as in your grandpa’s tasks for you. You are required to complete up to 75 quests in total to get all 4 achievements.

Piggy Rides!

Simple – just go and buy them in the plotting table and remember to fence up those piggies! How to get customers? The kids will come on their own. You will get an overall of 3 achievements from piggies. The Pigpen achievement will take quite a while to complete.

Level Up Skills

Go inside the house, walk to the desk in front of the door and interact with it.

This table will be shown to you:

You gain skill level by doing the repetitive tasks. Master a skill is getting full stars (all stars) for 1 skill. For expert, it takes a while before you can get all 5 stars for all. You will get to unlock a total of 3 achievements.

Special Achievements

 

This section details the achievements that can be obtained without (much) repetitive tasks.

 

Checking Credits

Once you open the game, before pressing “Play” button, go to “Credits”.

Log Ninja

Avoid cutting up any apples when you chop at least 25 pieces of wood in a single game (without exiting “chop wood” activity box). Easy trick: Just make sure you keep your apples inside the shop before you chop wood.

Chopping 5 logs In A Row

Easy task! Just don’t blink your eyes – you won’t miss it 🙂

Naming Animals

First, interact with your pet. Next you either “right click” (mouse) or press “B” (controller). The screen below will pop up. Just do this to 5 animals and you will bag this achievement.

Using Generator

The generator is located beside your house.

To get this achievement, simply don’t mess up while generating energy – that is to make sure all buttons on top are lid green (obviously I messed up).

Repairing Bridges

Two types of bridges – one is stone bridge, the other is wooden bridge. To repair stone bridge, you would need gold; to repair wooden bridge, you would need wood and money. Repair any 2 bridges, this achievement will unlock.

This is an example of a repaired bridge.

Spinning The Lucky Wheel

Go to the town and interact with the guy in-charged of the wheel. Lucky spin! Best stuff would be the chocolate.

Buying Items From Plotting Table

You are required to place/buy 5 items in one session and place them in your farm. Just go to plotting table inside your house and start spending money! Not sure how to do it? Refer FAQ on buying stuff.

Removing Poopie

Just walk over it! Tadaaaa, it is DONE.

Wait – NOT ONE. you need to walk over 10 poops. START WALKING!

First Week Coming Through!

Easy one, just endure 1 week! You will get the achievement.

Hiring Someone

Simpler than I thought – the place where you check your skill level, look to the far right (side), you will see 2 boxes for you to employ local citizens. Just click on it and you can hire them for various works.

Dating Your Valentine & Shacking Up

In this game, your love interest works as either a postman or postwoman.

DATING YOUR VALENTINE

1. Buy chocolates or earn them from the spinning wheel. You can buy it from the shop.

2. Interact with either the postman or postwoman (just pick one)

3. Make sure the chocolate is in your inventory. Give chocolate to him / her.

4. Once the “love meter” is filled up, go to the restaurant. Love meter is the small bar with heart shape indicator below the character’s image.

5. Interact with the restaurant owner and she will tell you to prep some ingredients for her.

6. Once you have prepared those ingredients, bring it to the restaurant owner.

7. After doing so, approach your love interest again and you will automatically be zoomed into a dining scene with her.

8. Achievement for Valentine’s Day will pop up soon afterwards.

SHACKING UP!

This achievement will only unlock after you have unlocked the first dating achievement.

1. Continue to give your same valentine some chocolates till you fill up the meter again.

2. Once the love meter is full, that’s it! After getting the achievement, your man/woman of your dreams will stay with you! (or rather permanent punishment of standing at one corner, instead of sharing bed with you LOL)

Bee Hunting

The bee hive is very well hidden, you deserve to brag about it if you can find the hive without using this guide 🙂

Note:You will need to repair the bridge to cross over to the forest. The repair costs $2500. I suggest you play other achievements first and save up your money for it.

1. First, you need to go to : FOREST #3 (please go to FAQ within this guide to see which forest I am referring to)

2. Once inside the forest, go north and find the bear.

3. If you can, defeat the bear (so it doesn’t continuously annoy you). Then start looking around the area. LOOK CAREFULLY. It should be close by the bear.

Click on it and tada! You have some bees now 🙂

(Forgotten if you have to take the bees back to the house, but I don’t think so)

Doggie Rescue

Now to the doggie rescue!

1. Go to the town, walk past the blacksmith shop but before you reach the forest. There is a path that turns downwards.

2. Walk towards the gates and open it. Go towards the tomb. There is a boy inside the compound. Be nice, just go over and say hi 🙂

3. Once you are in the tomb, fight off all the skeletons that come your way. There are chests to plunder. Go all the way to the top of the tomb (if you don’t want to fight the skeletons, you could do a 100m dash upwards. Just keep finding a path to go upwards till you can’t go further, then turn right.) You will find doggie there.

Go say hi to doggie and he will follow you out! (Obviously I did the 100m dash, that’s why the skeletons were following me!)

Escort / Bodyguard Service

In Escort quest, you are the bodyguard, protecting the cart from wolves. No free service – you are paid for it.

When you visit the shops and if you see an exclamation mark above their heads, it means you are hired for an escort quest!

Just go forward and interact with them, you will get this dialogue box:

Say yes and you will enter the forest with a horsecart that looks like this:

Just whack up the wolves along the way and once you reach this destination, you are done!

Rescuing Lars

So Lars is the developer of this game! Nice guy by the way 😉

It is pretty easy to find him, but I warn you – there are MANY WOLVES around that area. Bring tons of apples to heal yourself!

1. Head to Forest #2. (Please refer to FAQ to understand which forest I am referring to)

2. Once inside, go downwards (long path), then turn left and then turn upwards (long path) again (kinda like a big “U” shape).

3. Lars is standing there, waiting for you to save him! Go ahead and say hi ~

FAQ: Where are the 4 forests?

FOREST #1

This is the easiest forest to find. First to to the town. Once you reach the town, go past the blacksmith shop directly to the end.

At the end of the road, you will find a signage near the trees. That path ends and is the entrance to the forest. Just “left click” (mouse) or press “A” (controller) and you will enter the forest.

FOREST #2

1.Lets walk from the house.

2.Go up and follow the path until you reach the first T-junction. Turn up.

3. Continue upwards and you will walk past 2 lamp posts. Once you reach 2nd lamp post, you will reach a junction again. One goes upwards,the other goes left.

4. To enter Forest #2 go straight up. Follow the path. DO NOT TURN. Walk till the end, you will see the little signage beside the trees. That is the entrance to Forest #2.

FOREST #3

1. Follow the steps as per mentioned in Forest #2 till you reach Step 3.

2. Instead of going up, you TURN LEFT.

3. Walking just a little bit more, you will reach a bridge. if you didn’t repair it yet, please repair it.

4. Cross the bridge and go straight to the end. Forest #3 is at the end of the path.

FOREST #4

This forest will appear only when you have accepted the escort service. Please refer to escort service section in this guide.

FAQ : OMG, where are my pigs?

This happened to me. One fine day, as I was checking on my animals, I was like :

OMG WHERE ARE MY PIGS?!!

They went missing.

Then some chickens gone missing too.

Then some cows too.

One by one, they went missing. Guess what? They were everywhere but near me!

I learnt my lesson – should have built fences around those animals.

So if you noticed your animals disappeared, before you panic, check if they are around somewhere. Sadly, not possible to gather them again in one same place (unless you build fences there). Happy searching!

FAQ: Did my employee(s) run away with the produce?

In my game, my employees were somewhat…lazy. Doesn’t help if I stare at them.

I thought they stole my produce (fish and vegetables) too!

After checking with the developer – well, fish and vegetables will automatically be added to your store. Don’t panic!

How to hire someone? Check special achievement section (last part)!

FAQ: Where is the sale proceeds of my honey?

I read that I could sell honey, but I wasn’t sure because of the “basket” symbol on the tree with honey. Automatically I assumed I would have consumed it instead of selling it (because it doesn’t appear in my inventory)

After checking with the developer, I was being told that the money earned from selling honey will be directly added to gold earned (and will show in the end day screen).

FAQ: How To Buy Animals / Build Stuff?

To change your farm, you can simply go inside the house and walk towards your plotting table and click on it.

The simple farm editor will pop up and you can customize your farm accordingly.

IMPORTANT: Remember to save your every purchase before you quit!

 

FAQ: What are the Maximum Upgrades?

If you are wondering how far can you upgrade your tools, I hope these screenshots help. I have upgraded everything to max.

Tip: If you are fighting against the wolves, I would suggest you to max out on your weapon. Easier to defeat them.

Tip: First thing you want to upgrade is the capacity of your bag.

General Tips & Tricks

1. Quick exit from forest (safely) is to go to “Main Menu” and go back in the game again.

2. You can roam freely inside the “Escort Service” forest. The cart will wait for you, don’t worry. There are chests inside that you can plunder too. Don’t waste the opportunity.

3. It is a waste of time to go to-and-fro the river and back to your cabbages. Just build your field beside the river (if you don’t plan to hire employee).

4. Fence up your animals! They will go missing if you don’t fence up the place.

5. You can sell items you didn’t buy (originally given in the game like flowers, rocks, etc) inside the editor to earn extra coin.

6. Hiring employee to fish doesn’t get you the fishing achievement. You need to catch them on your own.

7. Bring tons of apples when you go inside the forest (in fact they are my “must have”). Eating them will give you health and last longer (in case there is a particular objective you are aiming to do inside the forest)

8. You can move faster when you are walking on proper roads (instead of grass).
