This guide is for mimicking the Halo 3 weapon positions to the Xbox 360 counterpart using the Weapon Display Offsets setting. I tried adjusting the numbers while watching gameplay to get them as close as possible for that classic look! This game always felt a bit off when the weapons are moved/angled weird so this is my best attempt to change that.
Where to change the settings
Settings > Gameplay > Weapon Display Offsets
(note: This was done at 90 FOV, mileage may vary)
Lowered Crosshair
I feel Lowered Crosshair was much easier to replicate as this is how the game originally was
—
Melee
Depth: 15
Horizontal: -5
Vertical: -5
—
Pistols
Depth: 6
Horizontal: 0
Vertical: -7
—
Rifles
Depth: 15
Horizontal: 7
Vertical: 2
—
Heavy:
Depth: -10
Horizontal: -8
Vertical: -3
—
Duel Wield:
Depth: -8
Horizontal: 0
Vertical: -7.5
—
Centered Crosshair
Note: It’s harder to get all the weapons to look correct with the centered crosshair as the game was made for lowered crosshair, but this was the best I could do!
