This guide will help players defeat barbatos and manage them in Gundam Evolution.

Barbatos can be difficult to handle

Many people couldn’t figure Barbatos out in the early beta, because 1. it was a new game so…fair. Barbatos can blindly charge in and is great at low level game play.

Barbatos is something that each character approaches differently. I find it amazing that no one uses their skills to take him out.

Barbatos can be described as a MELEE unit

Barbatos can be described as a MELEE unit. It was so clear that I had to repeat it twice.

Barbatos doesn’t have range. If he sees your face, he can’t shoot you. But if you see him, you can shoot him.

He must cover himself to avoid hitting you, or moving in a straight direction at you, when he spots you. Most units can use their abilities in order to knock back, slow down, stun or even evade Barbatos.

Every gundam comes with a dash system, which allows Barbatos to move away at the same speed as Barbatos. This allows you to shoot longer with the gun you have in your hand.

His hammer can be heard a mile away so if he’s going for the 2 hit special which instantly kills you, there should not be any excuses to see exactly where he’s at once his hammer is fully charged.

How to Handle Barbatos for Each Unit

Below is how I plan to defeat Barbatos and the Units.

Pale Rider Vs Barbatos

This unit is basically a soldier from Overwatch. He also has a fantastic set of kit and a super.

He has an active skill called EMP Grenade. You can throw it down to slow Barbatos’s progress on your position, giving you enough time and opportunity to kill him.

Do not forget to use the two dashes to increase your time to shoot him while you are fighting.

Gundam Vs Barbatos

Gundam has a great kit and I think it is super fun to play.

Gundams Hyper hammer inflicts a tremendous amount of damage on enemies and stuns them.

You can use this to stun Barbatos since he is most probably moving straight at you to try to hit you.

This move does have a wind-up, but if you hear him coming when he is fully charged, it should not be a problem.

Zaku II (Rangd) Vs Barbatos

Zaku 2 can be as fast with a range weapon or a smoke grenade. This temporarily makes you invincible. Barbatos are not to be defeated.

Barbatos Vs Barbatos

This is something I would love to watch, if it’s even happening. Your strengths can also be your weaknesses. Just unga bunga him until he is dead.

Sazabi Vs Barbatos

This is the game’s most tanky character and is taken out by Barbatos in a blink of an eye.

Barbatos Hammer is a super combo that makes a loud, distinct warbling sound. You should always be on the lookout for it. Your Beam Tomahawk will stun him. Your DPS with your shotgun can also be insane.

If you want to dashing away, ensure it is in a straight line. Otherwise, you will only get one sprint.

Methus Vs Barbatos

You are the greatest healer in the game, and you must protect your self from barbatos. There is no shame in flying if you hear Barbatos’s warbling hammer. You can fly.

Never underestimate how much damage you can inflict. You are an amazing healer and can do a lot of damage.

GM Sniper II Vs Barbatos

In all honesty, GM Sniper II has no direct counter to Barbatos. But if you’re playing this class, most likely you’re very skilled at aiming and can just finish him in one shot.

Asshimar Vs Barbatos

Asshimar is amazing, has an amazing kit, and is good at medium distance.

Asshimar is able to fly and throw napalm. Barbatos should not come close enough to you to smack. You can burn everything and run if that happens. Barbatos is unable to fly and cannot stop you.

DOM Trooper Vs Barbatos

This is my main unit, and it is honestly one of the weaker to fight Barbatos. You can use a variety of mines, the hyper-beam laser, and landinghead shot rockets to take down an enemy that moves at you in a single direction. You should be able stop him from getting to you.

You only have one chance to escape so make sure it is in a straight line.

Turn A Vs Barbatos

Barbatos is the direct counter. You have a heal that can go through his hammer and let you toss him as a salad. If you hear him charging towards you, jebait and cross him. Break his ankles and toss he like a salad.

Gun Cannon Vs Barbatos

Gun Cannon is an excellent DPS that is not immediately apparent.

Barbatos can be easily eliminated using a combination gunfire, cannon firing, and Gun Cannon’s dash attacks.

Gun Cannon’s dash attacks not only push the enemy back, but also bring it back. You can use it as a third dash, which charges on a different rate than your normal dashes. It is its own skill.

GM Vs Barbatos

According to me, GM is the strongest character in the game.

Your shield won’t help with Barbatos. However you do have a shield bash with a tremendous range that can be used quite easily to knock down Barbatos quite a long distance.

You only have one dash. To fully utilize it, you’ll need a lot of distance.

Gundam Exia Vs Barbatos

Exia can use four dashes to stun and a knockback. You could use your collective skills to smack and kill beguile, bewilder and backhand Barbatos across the map. But this is Assuming he does not land his charged Hammer against you.

Barbatos’s three dashes are the same as yours so theoretically, you should be able match speed in any direction.

Marasai Vs Barbatos

Marasai can pull an opponent similar to roadhog. This stuns the enemy and then pushes them away, which also stuns the enemy.

Assuming you have the ability to aim, you can shoot barbatos and pull barbatos back, then push him back and shoot him without him having to retaliate.

Mahiroo Vs Barbatos (Theorycraft)

Mahiroo should make a good Barbatos counter. You can use wall bouncing to direct grenades around corners. This skill allows you to push back against an enemy and can also scan walls for enemies. Barbatos should not be a problem.

Zaku II (Melee vs Barbatos Theorycraft)

Zaku 2 () Looked very interesting to my eyes. You might see this character more often than Barbatos.

Your Skill survive can be used to counter Barbatos’s combo and gain large amounts Meter without taking hits. This could be used to activate Zeon’s Rage to make Barbatos do more damage and super armor you can take.

Unicorn Gundam Vs Barbatos (Theorycraft)

Unicorn’s kit looks impressive and makes for a solid DPS/Support set.

Barbatos can be seen as soon as you spot him. You can continue to hit him with your gun, and then use your Shield Funnels against him to knock him back.

It’s not possible to say much other than shoot good.

This isn’t a complete guide.
