This guide will explain the most important achievements, both visible and hidden. This guide is still in W.I.P. Although i was unable to achieve all achievements, i wanted others to have the opportunity to see them.
This is my very first guide. I never made one. Don’t expect me, as my main language, to use apostrophes.

Story Achievements
This section will focus on achievements that you will earn just by playing the game. There are seven chapters to this game. You can either find some achievements in the middle of a chapter or at its end.
Note: I don’t know how to remember when I get an achievement. Some of these will have questionable and erratic answers. However, they will still be quite accurate, hopefully.
Never Had It Anyway
Desc. : Relive the Past
!: Finish chapter 0, “Chapter Zero”
New Boots, New Body
Desc. : Fight to Nova Prospekt’s extract point.
!
The Combine was born.
Desc. : Lead The Invasion of Arbeit Communication.
! Chapter 2: “Contact Aberration” After gaining a team of Combine soldiers, navigate through the building. You should achieve this achievement after entering the secret lab entrance.
My Evil Twin
Desc. : Meet the Miscreant Agent.
!
Friend in low places
Desc. Meet Wilson.
!. You will find a defectturret called Wilson at the beginning Chapter 3. He will help you open doors.
Get rid of it with a gun
Desc. : Kill the man-eating giant.
!. Near the end of Chapter 3 “Chamber Catacomb”, there is a man-eating monster called Gonome that you must kill. The difficulty level you choose greatly affects the difficulty of your fight.
You will find health and ammo pickups in every corner of every location.
Detour
Desc. : Escape from the chamber catacomb underneath Arbeit 1.
! Escape the underground facility in Chapter 3 “Chamber Catacomb”. You should have this somewhere before you start Chapter 4.
Ghost Hunt
Desc. : Go to the Domain of the Project and get to Work 2.
?. I am sorry, but I don’t know when exactly you get this. If I’m right, this is at the beginning of Chapter 4a “Exhumation Zone”, where 3 switches are needed to open a gate and access a particular room.
On a Road
Desc. : Drive to Arbeit 2.
! Reach the semi–mid point of Chapter 4, “Exhumation zone”, If I’m correct, you should do this a few minutes before meeting Clonecop again. It’s possible that I am wrong.
Custody Assistant
Desc. Capture Judith Mossman.
! – In Chapter 5, “Apprehension”, reach Judith following the fight against the remaining Arbeit 3 Rebel defense. Upon reaching Judith, Escort Judith to the Combines while running from Copy Cop who wants Judith Mossman to die.
The Project
Desc. : There it is.
! is the end Chapter 6 “Chirality”. You will see the Borealis ship from the end of the section.
Enduring Achievements
This section will cover all Achievements that you can obtain at the end of Chapter 6. “Chirality”. It’s HIGHLY recommended to make an automatic save before you interact with the dying Copy-cop. The auto-save is not very reliable.
Beat Cop
Desc. : Finish the game on Normal difficulty level or higher.
! – Play the game, starting at Chapter 0 and ending at the end on Normal difficulty. Ending doesn’t really matter.
? I am positive that starting Chapter 6 and playing it on Normal difficulty will fail, but I could be wrong.
Bad Cop
This is not the same icon that represents “Kill It with a Gun” achievement icon.
Desc. : Complete the game at Hard difficulty.
! : Play the entire game, starting at Chapter 0 and ending on Hard difficulty. You can unlock “Beat Cop” but not “Bad Cop” to get both achievements. Ending doesn’t matter.

Problem Soul
Desc. : Stop your predecessor.
! Funny enough, you can kill him before he starts talking, skipping the entire conversation and giving you the achievement either one way.
Supposed Brothers
Desc. : Refrain from pulling the trigger.
! You will receive an achievement for killing him.
There will be darkness
Desc. : Wipe the Slate.
! After Copy-Cop dies, Advisor will offer 3650, the player the choice of becoming the “Master Template” by wiping his memory completely. Advisor forces 3650 to accept the offer. Do not shoot the Advisor if you are being held back. It will eventually lead you to a brief cutscene. Then it will snap back to your, now with no recollection.
Note: This achievement will be awarded after the credits have ended due to an ending cutscene.
There will always be pain
Desc. : Kill The Advisor.
!. Advisor will give 3650 a choice to become the Master Template. 3650 declines and Advisor forces them to do it. If you are being held by Advisor, you can shoot it with any gun. This will force Advisor to let it go and will start the final boss fight. QUICK SAVE OR MANUAL RECOMMENDED
To kill the Advisor you must trick it into throwing objects onto itself. After a few throws (, depending on its difficulty, it will have it’s shield down. Once that happens, shoot it. It will eventually attempt to maul you. Although it is a little more difficult, it is not that bad.
After you kill the Advisor, you head towards the Borealis to see the secret, and then you reach the Good ending()
Note: This achievement will be awarded after the credits have ended due to an ending cutscene.
Deliverance and Still Living
Desc. 1: Bring Wilson over to the upload station at end of the game.
Desc. 2: He’s in the system.
! Deliverance achievement is very close to the Gnome achievement of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 You can take Wilson with you to Chapter 3: “Chamber Catacomb”. From now on, you will need him to be carried all the way. However, in certain sections you can let him go as you won’t have to return to where he was. The radar is a great tool to track Wilson’s position. Don’t forget about the Wilson Closets. They have MOST of all supplies that will assist you. Chapter 4, “Venture Ghost” allows you to place Wilson on top of an APC. However, this will remove the ability to carry (supply crates. Once you have reached the end, you can put Wilson in a machine that will enable him to control the systems.
Then, fight the Advisor boss and complete the ending. Everything will play normally, except the very end, which is the Best ending.
!!REMEMBER! Keep this in mind! If you don’t have the latest save point or quick saves, you will need to do Chapter 3 again. It should be obvious that Wilson will not spawn if you start in any of the Chapters by clicking the new button.
Note: This achievement will be awarded after the credits have ended due to an ending cutscene. If you have not yet achieved “There Will Be Pain”, this ending will award you both achievements.
Overwatch says “Stop kicking it”
Desc. : Kick The Advisor.
!. Kick it anytime during Advisors speech. It will instantly skip the entire dialogue and begin the Advisor fight.
“Collectibles”, “Kills” achievements
This section will discuss how to earn Achievements that either revolve around finding “collectibles” (or killing enemies).
Radio Recon
Desc. Desc.
! : You will need to locate 19 audio recordings. The recordings can only be found in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3; Chapter 2 has 5 audio recordings. Some recordings may not be accessible until you push the button to unlock the airlock. The remaining 14 audio recordings are found in Chapter 3. They were mostly recorded by Clone cop. The final recording (will be the rebel argument recording.
Closet Clearer
Desc. : Locate and open all Wilson closets.
!. If you have Wilson beyond Chapter 3, there are some places you can use Wilson for opening doors. These doors reveal “Wilson cupboards”. These closets contain supplies, including HP, Battery charges, ammo, and sometimes ammo. There are very few Wilson closets which will troll you. Be prepared for anything.
There are 3 closets in Chapter 4, 2(or 3 – Closets Chapter 4a and 5, (Or 6– Closets Chapter 5).
Worth the Weight
Desc. : Take 10,000 KG of Xen grenades.
! – Use the Xen grenades and consume enough enemies and items to obtain this achievement. It is very easy if you use Xen grenades frequently, they can be very handy in certain situations.
Dirty Harry
Desc. : Use the 357 to kill 18 rebels
!. Use the revolver from Chapter 3 to kill 18 rebels. The difficulty comes with the fact that the gun is difficult to find, and the revolver is often too powerful for rebels. My knowledge doesn’t include vortigaunts.
Rebar Huntsman
Desc. Crossbow to kill 25 alien creatures
!. Use the “Rebel Crossbow”, to get around Chapter 4, and kill 25 Alien animals using it. Similar to Dirty Harry’s challenge, the Crossbow is not equipped with enough ammo. Some Xen creatures are able survive 2 or more Crossbow shots. I am basing this on Hard difficulty.
? I’m not sure what game is considered “Alien”, since Zombies could also count, but i cannot confirm this.
Temporal Troubles
Desc. : Find all 4 Temporal Crabs and kill them.
!. You can encounter up 4 Temporal crabs while playing through the game. Temporal Crabs can be considered a bonus enemy and will not hinder your progress towards this achievement. The basic pistol is the best choice if you don’t want to waste ammunition due to its rapid teleporting ability. The first one is for force encounter, while all three others are hidden.
Chapter 4a will be the location where you will find the first one and be forced into fighting it. After pressing the button to open the gate, you can walk out of the booth and see a number of Temporal Crabs and headcrabs. To move on, you will need to kill it.
The second is at Chapter 5. Before spotting Judith, climb on top of the rubble of rocks. To the left you will find a moving supplies crate. It can be destroyed to spawn the Temporal crab.
The third one is found in the same section. After solving the mine puzzle you will find a 3-way section. In the middle you will find a moving supply box that will contain the Temporal Crab.
The fourth can be found in the same chapter. You will pass a street with dumpsters along the left side. One dumpster will have a supply box that will contain the Temporal Crab. Wilson will often make a comment about how he reached the place. This is a good way for you to know if you have.
Miscellaneous Achievements
This section will cover achievements that are not covered in the previous sections. This section is not meant to be a timeline.
Cell Division
Desc. Reach the extraction point together with four soldiers.
! Chapter 1: All 4 soldiers are alive at the end of Chapter 1.
Science Team
Desc. : With five soldiers, reach the secret laboratory within Arbeit 1.
! is a continuation of Chapter 1. In Chapter 2, all four starting Combine soldiers must be kept alive. You can use move command to your advantage. You might be curious where you find the 5th one. You will find a wall that can explode using S.L.A.M. when you enter the huge warehouse-like area. It will contain a severely wounded Combine soldier. You then need to locate a spare gun on the table near the wall that you exploded and give it to him. He will then join your group. The lever should be pulled. Clear the warehouse of rebels and then all five Soldiers must be taken to the secret laboratory.

Scar Zero
Desc. : Reunited with Scar Zero at Entropic Control
!. You must hold out against the rebels when you play Chapter 6. You must have rescued Scar Zero from Chapter 2 and taken him into the passageway to a secret lab. After some events, your remaining soldiers group will be completely slaughtered by Copy-Cop). As you can hear from the voice lines).
Interdependency
Desc. : Receive health care from a surrendered physician.
! is: The game doesn’t explain the mechanics of the game. You can either kick the gun, or shoot it out of rebel hands. Many have backup weapons, with some even carrying a Crowbar. Press E on rebels to make them surrender, then E again to make their stand up. They will also give you supplies if you stand near them. You can do this with medic while you are below 100 HP. If you are not close enough, you will likely be able to recognize who is a doctor and who isn’t.
No Escape Chance
Desc. : Neutralize Dr. Mossmans helicopter from the Arbeit 3 Helipad.
! Chapter 5: You come across a Helipad that has a Helicopter on its top. To get the achievement, throw a Xen grenade. It will consume the Helicopter.
Be careful, though, because the Helicopter itself is a large object, the Xen Grenade may produce heavy enemies. These enemies are either Antlion Guards (or both).
Please Knock
Desc. : Kick open 60 doors.
!
Now, there are two of them!
Desc. : Kill both the gonomes and the Xentarium.
! : During Chapter 4, you will take a shortcut that will get you to Albeit 2 more quickly. You will then pass through a Xen-infested area. 2 Gonomes spawn after switching power back on. Find them and kill them. These Gonomes are the same as Chapter 3 and are very tanky. I recommend playing easy to kill the Gonomes if you don’t want to be challenged.
Far Distance Eyes
Desc. : See the secret temporal overlay inside the monitoring room.
!. 3650 will comment on not wanting ever to return to the monitoring location after leaving the place completely. Once he has finished, go back inside and you will trigger the secret vision.
Party Trick
Desc. : Kill a long-jump rebel while they’re in mid-air.
!: This description is sufficient to explain it. However, it’s not easy to do so. You must have precise aiming skills. However, you also need to ensure that the rebel will continue to jump. They have a tendency not to jump but to blind fire you. It is important to note that jumping from a low height does not mean they are dying in mid-air.
Drift King
Desc. : Flip your APC.
!. During chapters 4 and 4, while driving your APC turn it over. It is easy to do this by activating turbo (. After increasing your speed, hold handbreak(and then press jump button) while you turn either left or right. It may take a few attempts, but it is not difficult.
Visitor Pass and Bootstrap Program Clearance
Desc. Desc.
! is the achievement. You must complete all of the challenges offered by the game. To play one of the challenges, click on the “Bonus map” section and choose challenges. You can choose the challenge map and type of challenge that you would like to take on.
Please note that the GAME WILL AUTOMATICALLY FORCE You to PLAY ON THE HARDDIFFICULTY. Any attempt to change difficulty mid-way through a challenge will result in a failure.
There are 8 challenge maps in total 2 of them take place in Chapter 2 (. The Arbeit Offices & Shipping Centre.). 4 of them take place in Chapter 4.
Each of these challenge maps has 5 different challenge types Which are?
Least damage – (Complete the section without taking damage. It is obvious that allies taking damage doesn’t count.)
Least bullets – (Complete a section, without firing out many bullets. Multiple bullets can be counted as multiple shots from a shotgun or pistol. Crossbow, Grenades S.L.A.Ms Rocket Launcher Alt fire Pulse rifle Alt fire SMG(and)?) do not count as bullets. The Alt fire is not considered a bullet for APC sections in the same way as Rocket Launcher.
Least time (Please complete a section as quickly and efficiently as possible.)
(- Least Kills Complete a section with the smallest number of kills possible. Allies killing others don’t count towards your kill count.)
– Most Mass(You begin with max Xen grenades. You can use Xen Grenades to capture as many objects, enemies, pickups or map objects, such as crates, as possible. Chapter 2 doesn’t have any Xen Grenades. It will give you the Xen Grenades at the beginning, but it won’t spawn pick-ups of them.)

Audio Recordings
Notes: Before you can find some of the recordings, you will need activate the airlock in chapter 2. Some of the recordings in Chapter 3 are very faint. I have tried my best with the screenshots to give you a better idea.

Note: I was very stupid, and managed to miss a closet.
Temporal Crab locations
Note: The forced encounter and one found at the beginning chapter 5 won’t be included as they are both simple and easy to find.
Possible bugs
There might be issues when you try to accomplish some of these achievements. Report bugs to me in the comments. I will add them into this list. I will remove a bug that is fixed from the list. If a bug is found to have been intentionally introduced, I will also remove it.
Check out this bug list:
– The achievement cannot be achieved by killing any of the Gonomes found in the Xentarium using Xen grenade.
– Even if everyone is still alive, sometimes Chapter 2 will not give you the achievement.

As I mentioned, if something is wrong, don’t yell at me. Yes, you can tell it is wrong, but please don’t be toxic about the fact that it is wrong or that a specific achievement is missing. This guide is my first attempt at creating one. I also created it between 3 AM and 6 AM, so my mind wasn’t 100% correct lol.
I will make changes to the W.I.P section as soon as I get more information about certain things.
