Hopefully a way to fix your game not registering pumping of the shotgun and in turn stopping you from playing the game. Worked for me with the Oculus rift.
 
 

Solution

Start the game and go into “Practice” select any option and head into the shooting scene, that way you’re not wasting time if the fix doesn’t work for you.
 
 
Fire the gun and try to pump it, if it works, great, stop reading, if like me however the game just completely refuses to pump the shotgun, continue…
 
 
Press the button to open up the menu screen (Y on the Oculus) and change the gun to left hand and back to right, you should now be able to pump the shotgun.
 
 
This worked for me and hopefully it works for you too. I have had to do this when a new scene started, it’s not ideal but the developers clearly don’t care about the issue that’s plagued this game for a long time.
