This guide will teach you how to open tilesets of Crocotile3D in other programs.

It is often easier to draw in the program you know than to draw in the program that you don’t know.

Walkthrough

So here’s the Crocotile save. I made a little ribbon to make it easier for you to see what happens when you add stuff to your tileset.

The first thing you should do is to Export our Tileset.

Tileset -> /Export Tileset

Save the Tileset where you want it

Now we need Crocotile3D to verify that the Tileset is being taken from the Exported Tileset.

So let’s replace it!

Tileset -> /Replace Tileset

You can then pick any tilesets you wish

Now you can open the Tileset with any Drawing program you choose! (here

I often place the two programs next each other.

Now you can edit the Tileset using Aseprite. Click on Crocotile3D It should be updated to the latest Tileset textures!
