Ever wanted to check out a glitched seed and see how it looks, but then realized there’s not a single guide that contains all the glitched seeds in the game currently known about? Well, here you go.
This guide will be updated when more glitched seeds (or other kinds of seeds) are found and are commented below. If you know a glitched seed that isn’t here, or some other sort of weird seed, please comment it below.
Seed Hub Navigation
If you’re looking for glitched seeds for other versions of this game, then you’re in luck! Simply click on the version of the game you’re playing and you should be able to find some glitched seeds to play! If you’re looking for v0.2 and before, there’s a bonus section for that on the v0.3.4 seed hub.
Glitched Seed Explanation
This anomaly in seeds can occur if both conditions below are satisfied (in order):
- All faculty rooms do not connect to any hallway
- A classroom spawns not connecting to any hallway (for an unknown reason, F2 and F3 glitched seeds very commonly delete their placeholder rooms {they still must spawn regardless}. For F2 and F3, anything -2 or more will spawn 1 guaranteed placeholder room. Remember that they must still spawn regardless)
Under normal circumstances, a classroom cannot spawn connecting to no hallways, but due to a bug in the code, the classroom can spawn in all spots when no faculty rooms are in any hallway. If the classroom happens to spawn without connecting to a hallway, since the game isn’t allowed to place a classroom like this, it decides to not decorate the room, making it a placeholder room (all rooms are placeholder rooms until being decorated as the next part of the level generation process).
The chances of finding a seed with any anomaly like this: while not quite possible to pinpoint an exact number, is a rare chance. See below for estimated chances.
The reason for such a high chance is because you need all requirements below:
All faculty rooms in the map connecting to no
hallways (Very rare)
Getting a placeholder room to spawn when this
condition happens (exception for F2; see above)
(Extremely rare)
Estimated chances of discovering a glitched seed
These chances are based on a shared data set with 4.0m+ data points

Fun facts about (glitched) seeds
- For F1 seeds, you can change it from positive to negative (or vise versa) and the F1 will remain the same, while the F2 and F3 will change. This means that F1 only has half of the maximum possible seeds when compared to F2 and F3
- It’s technically possible to get a 0/0 notebook seed on any floor, but it hasn’t been discovered yet. If a 0/0 notebook seed was ever found for F1, F1 would finish in 0:00 (tested/simulated). If it was found for any other floor, it’d softlock the game.
- Almost all known glitched seeds have the playground or the library as the big room due to the fact that they’re almost always bigger than a cafeteria, which are limited to be smaller
- The seed range limit is between -2,147,483,615 and 2,147,483,615 (including 0 [-0 doesn’t work]), making a total of 4,294,967,231 possible seeds
- You, the reader, will likely find a glitched seed before 30 hours of total playtime
- It’s estimated that only 4,881 seeds contain only 0/1 notebooks and only 145 seeds contain 0/0 notebooks
- All F3’s with a cafeteria as a big room will always have an elevator in it
- An elevator will never spawn in a library or a playground
- F1 has 4-5 faculty, F2 has 4-6 faculty, F3 has 6-8 faculty and Endless Random has 4-6 faculty. Keep in mind that the chances are weighted to be generally in the middle of the number ranges.
- The minimum room size is 4×5 and the maximum room size is 7×8, although rooms commonly get squished on one axis, which can result in rooms going as low as 2×4-7
- It’s possible for an elevator (only on F3) or field trip (only on F2) to not spawn if one side of the floor has no space for it to spawn.
- A detention room can become a placeholder room in the virtually impossible case that not only do all classrooms not connect to a hallway, but the detention room also doesn’t connect to a hallway. This means that you can have up to a maximum of 10 placeholder rooms (on F3).
Full Seed List
Due to the arbitrary character limit Steam puts on guides (being only 8k), every single known glitched seed (or really every single seed that is glitched, uncommon, easy and hard) can be found on this list: Link – [google.com]
The list of all the unique glitched seeds can be seen down below. A unique glitched seed is classified as a seed that roughly has the rarity of about 1/~50k. This means that the “common” glitched seeds, such as a 0/3 or 0/2 F1 or a 0/6 or 0/5 F2 will not be seen below (unless the seed has something else that’s rare alongside it).
Fun fact: there’s 3.1k+ glitched seeds discovered and documented on the list in the link above.
Rare Glitched Seeds – 28 In Total
These seeds are extremely rare and either contain even less notebooks than normal or contain an uncommon map generation alongside it being glitched. This list only has seeds that have a 1/~50,000 chance or higher of occurring.

Legendary Glitched Seeds
These seeds are considered legendary because they are so rare (over 1/500k or indeterminable) that it’s very likely no more will be found similar to them.

FAQ
Q: How have you calculated the probability of getting a glitched seed?
A: The very first day I stumbled upon a glitched seed myself, I started to log how many times I loaded into F1 and got very interested in how rare these seeds actually are. Since then, I’ve almost always logged how many times I’ve entered all floors, as well as how many seeds I’ve personally found that are glitched. Using that information, I can simply divide the amount of total attempts by the amount of glitched seeds I’ve found (as well as what type it was).
Q: When you say data points, what specifically are you referring to?
A: A data point is every single time a floor is generated and then analyzed to see if it’s glitched or not.
Q: How have you calculated the chances for a F1 with 0 notebooks without any discoveries of a 0/0 notebook seed?
A: While definitely not the most foolproof method, I took the difference between a 0/2 and 0/1, then took the difference between a 0/2 and 0/3, then got a multiplier from the differences and then applied the multiplier to the 0/1 chance. So while I’ve never personally seen a 0/0 yet, I can say that the chances are still pretty accurate.
Q: How come you don’t account for a F2 with 3 or less notebooks or a F3 with 7 or less notebooks when showing all the glitched seed chances?
A: Well the answer is relatively obvious in my opinion: either the chances of these are so astronomically low that it’s ridiculous to even calculate, or it’s just not even theoretically possible. For a glitched F3 for instance, you need 6 (best case) faculty to connect to no hallways, which is incredibly unlikely (unlike F1 and F2, there’s a ton more hallways for them to spawn at).
Q: Why do faculty rooms sometimes spawn out of bounds?
A: I’ve been unable to find any 100% answer to this, despite how many times I’ve seen it occur. I originally thought that it was caused by faculty rooms spawning on the corner of a big room, but I was proven false by this pretty quickly. The only half answer I can currently think of is that there’s rare cases where a faculty door cannot connect to a big room because some sort of wall object happened to spawn on the same tile. What’s interesting is all currently known out of bound faculty seeds always have 2 or more faculty.
Q: How many hours have you put into just glitched seed hunting?
A: I’m honestly not 100% sure, but it’s at least over 600 hours.
Q: How do you have so many hours in BB+?
A: An immense amount of dedication and curiosity for how many weird seeds exist and how many I can find by myself, alongside speedrunning.
Q: Do you get excited when you find a glitched seed anymore? Seems like you’ve found too many at this point.
A: Only if it’s a 0/0 F1, a 0/3 F2 or a 0/7 F3.
Q: How many hours have you put into this guide?
A: Just as I said with how many hours I’ve put into glitched seed hunting, at least over 600 hours. That’s not to suggest I spent 600 hours alone working on this guide, rather that I work on this guide and glitch hunt at about the same time (switching back and forth).
Q: I’m personally hunting for some glitched seeds of my own, but can’t find any. Do you have any tips?
A: The only thing I can really say is to focus only on F1 and nothing else. Keep restarting and restarting until you see a 0/3 appear (since it likely won’t be any lower). If you’re constantly resetting, you should get one within 3 hours.
Q: How can you claim that a seed is particularly hard or particularly easy?
A: Whether you choose to believe me or not, I can look at a map layout and tell you how good or bad it is almost immediately. Using this, if a seed hits a certain threshold (in my opinion of course), I can tell you if it’s a hard or easy seed. Hopefully that answer doesn’t sound arrogant!
Q: How many attempts did it take for you to find your very first glitched seed?
A: On v0.3.4, it took me ~7k attempts (Seed: 821459638), which is particularly unlucky. This was during a time I wasn’t strictly hunting for glitched seeds, but was rather more focused on speedrunning (and just happened to get this randomly).
Q: Do you think a 0/0 seed will be found?
A: I personally believe it’s doable to find, but it would take a ton of time and effort.
Q: Will you ever quit playing BB+?
A: As with every other gamer who exists, you have to take breaks eventually. I personally don’t think I’ll ever actually stop playing this game, but I will definitely take breaks. Breaks aren’t quitting, but simply rejuvenating for the next session!
Q: How will you handle archiving older game versions?
A: A new guide will be made with the same name but with the current game version. Why separate them into completely different guides you may ask? It’s mainly because it’d make it harder to navigate the guide in its entirety, which I would like to keep as clean as possible. Don’t worry though; when multiple game versions come out, I’ll make sure to link the guides up through a section on the top.
Q: Why do you not have a section for seeds with The Test?
A: It’s mainly because not only is he not that uncommon, but also because then I’d feel inclined to include a set of seeds for all the other somewhat uncommon characters, which would just be a mess. If you want to see him right now despite this, enter in the seed 99 into Random Endless. The Test spawns very close to the detention room (remember to stay away from the detention room before the game begins, otherwise, he won’t spawn immediately).
Q: How come I cannot find grappling hooks in faculty?
A: Not only are there specific requirements for it to spawn, but it’s also rare. You need to be on Floor 2, Floor 3 or Endless Random, and you need to find a faculty room that is not connecting to any hallways.
Q: What makes a 0/8 (1/1) F3 more rare than a normal 0/8 F3?
A: The first placeholder room in every floor aside from F1 tends to get deleted very commonly. Due to this, these seeds are much more special than a glitched seed without it.
Seed Submission Guide
If you’re currently unsure what qualifies as a seed to submit to this page, this section should let you know what’s currently being added. This should serve as a general guide as to which seeds are good for submissions.
For glitched seeds:
– Any seed that contains less than 4 (F1), 7 (F2 or Endless) or 9 (F3) notebooks
For uncommon seeds:
– 2 or more apple trees
– 1 or more grappling hooks
– 2 or more portal posters
– Abnormal amounts of world objects (refer to already added seeds)
– Rooms showing up on map earlier than expected
– Double swinging doors
– Duplicated swinging doors
– Only 1 swinging door to a big room
– Swinging door corner in big room
– Field trip spawning in big room
– Janitor closet spawning in other room (except big room)
– Faculty in janitor closet
– 3/4 elevators close to each other (only for F3)
– Tiny or wide rooms (2×4-7 rooms)
– 1-way walls
– Faculty out of bounds
– Tiny libraries (ones that only have 1 or 2 more rows in each direction)
– Community posters in elevator or windows in elevator
– All faculty in big room without it being glitched
– Tiny conveyors (1-2 long)
– Elevator poking out of wall
– 2 or more faculty inside a room (excluding glitched seeds)
– Nearly all faculty or classrooms being next to each other (preferred to be on F3)
– 3 or more identical vendors or blue lockers next to each other
– Blue locker appearing in any room
– 50% or more empty faculty rooms (only for F3)
– Only 1 item in all faculty rooms (only for F3 with 7-8 faculty)
– Spawn in center of map
– 3 items in faculty
– No field trip (only for F2)
– Missing elevator
– U-layouts or anything as extreme as that (except O-layouts)
– 1 or less math machines on F2
– 3 or less math machines on F3
– Detention table in wall
– Anything else that is very uncommon
For easy seeds:
– Has a mass amount of BSoda, zesty bars or grappling hooks with apple trees
– Can easily lose Baldi
– Can borderline walk around and complete the entire game
– Doesn’t require much skill
Note: currently very strict on taking seed submissions for this seed type
For hard seeds:
– Has a hard F3 layout (usually a U-layout that has annoying classroom placements)
Note: currently very strict on taking seed submissions for this seed type
For impossible seeds:
– Crashes the level generator in any form or has an inaccessible elevator or classroom
For random endless seeds:
– Is somewhat easy to get a 35+ score
Closing Notes
I plan on keeping this guide up-to-date for quite a while (including preserving older versions), so if you like what you currently see, please consider liking it (or favoriting to find it much later on) to let me know the time I’ve put in is worth it!
Again, if you have any interesting seeds, from glitched seeds, to seeds with rare items (like a grappling hook or multiple portal posters), to downright weird seeds, please comment them below along with who discovered it.
Have fun playing the seeds and good luck on finding more seeds!
