How to reduce annoying lock on changes

For ranged fighters who are sharpshooters, constant lock-on is vital.
 
This guide was created because the settings below helped me focus fire from faraway on priority targets. I want to share my experience with you. I will keep it short and sweet.
 
 
The reason you might find lock-on changes so often is that the lock-on mechanic works by looking around. If you use keyboard and mouse, it means that your mouse has moved. Even if your mouse is very slight, 'Looking around' can occur – especially if your target is far away.
 
 
To reduce lock-on change, you just need to stop looking around.
 
 
The best way to stop looking around at the world is to not use the mouse at all.
 
It is not necessary to set up a keyboard with clever buttons. This is mine
 
 
Move: A,S,D,W
 
Look: NUM 4, NUM 2 NUM 8, NUM 6,
 
Lock-on/Reset view: NUM 5
 
Main range: NUM 9
 
Main melee: NUM 7

Other options that we recommend
 
– Remove auto lock on. It gives me more control.
 
– Change lock from priority centre. This is a great way to target select, especially if you want bosses far away and ignore the mobs closer by.

1. Num look buttons can help you find your target
 
2. Lock-on
 
3. Stop using the look buttons and instead focus on attacking. Don't touch your mouse.
 
4. Enemy dead.
 
5. Repeat starting at 1.
