The game actually has japanese voices installed, that you can enable with couple minutes of tinkering.

Sorry for being late 🙂

  1. Get a hex editor that can edit .exe files (yes, you’re going to edit game’s .exe). I think HxD is pretty popular on Windows (at least it has been around for a while)
  2. Open the raiden5_one.exe with your editor (and take a backup from the file if you want). You can find .exe by right clicking the game in Steam’s library -> Properties -> Local files -> browse
  3. Search %VOICE_LANGUAGE%
  4. There should be 6 results. The thing you’re looking for is the last one
  5. I think the line read jpn.eng.%VOICE_LANGUAGE% (or it was eng.jpn)
  6. Now change that eng to jpn and save. It should read jpn.jpn%VOICE_LANGUAGE%. I have no idea what the another jpn does (fallback?)
