How to make the most money with the easiest to take care of renters.
Building the house
1. First, you’re going to want to pick a corner of land and put down 5 foundations in a row. This will make picking up rent and cleaning a whole lot easier. Bonus if you take your time and make all the houses the exact same height so all you have to do is hold “A” and click the entire line.
2. Make then 2 high and use any roof. That way if you get someone that wants more than 5 floors, just plunk a few floors on the second floor down like this. Just don’t forget to look up when cleaning.
3. Place the smallest bed and the skinniest closet in the back. Don’t use the canopied bed or it will generate invisible garbage on top of the canopy that won’t be highlighted with “z”
Finding Tenants
First, you want to decide what is more important to you.
If you don’t like cleaning, you want to prioritize the renters that ask for a house area that is less than 5. That way you aren’t dealing with any hidden garbage on the second floor. If the tenant only wants 4 floors, it’s a good idea to save yourself, take some time and get rid of the back floor entirely so each house meets the very minimum requirements.
Maximum yield seems to be based on the payout, so the higher the payout, the better the yield. I’ve seen baskets as high as 500, but they seem to be rare. Just try to hit 350 or above for each house.
My ideal tenant pays around 100 and only asks for a bed and closet with 4 floors.
If you have an absolute garbage of a roll where all the tenants only pay 20 or ask for ridiculous things, just build what they ask for, rent to them, then immediately kick them out.This will get you new tenants. You can keep rolling like this until you find someone better.
When you find a good tenant, don’t forget to alter the house to meet their minimum requirements before clicking the “choose this tenant” button.
Cheater, cheater….
Or, you could just bypass all that and rent AN EMPTY HOUSE. That’s right, no furniture needed. So long as there is a green check mark on top, just delete all the unnecessary floors and furniture to rent out houses that are super easy to clean. Like so.
This lets you get stone and wood a lot quicker than having to walk all the way to the mine because each pile of stone you clean from each house will net you 5 stones. These add up quickly when you have many houses to clean.
The empty houses will never be high paying because you’re not even giving them a bed, but it’s up to you what you want out of the game.
