What is ATS?

 
American Truck Simulator is a computer game in the genre of a truck driver simulator with elements of an economic strategy. The game takes place in the United States. Developed by the Czech company SCS Software and released on February 2, 2016. It is a parallel game of Euro Truck Simulator 2. 
 
 

2016 Year!

 
On February 2, 2016, what does something tell you? 
 
Yes, this is the date when our beloved and at that time not entirely finalized game came out, why? 
I’ll explain now. When the game was released, there was a lot of unpleasant things, for example, only a word remained from the map of America … The map included only 3 states, this is California, Nevada and later released Arizona. There were also a couple of trucks in the game, which were represented by Kenworth and Peterbilt. 
Here SCS did not do very well, they can say they did not give a damn about the audience of the game, which was waiting for something big like ETS 2 only in America .. 
The next year, the addition / new state of New Mexico was announced! 
 
 
 
 

2017 Year!

 
2017 was a more successful year for ATS than 2016. First, SCS started developing patches and fixing game bugs. And the second, most interesting thing is the first DLS, NEW MEXICO, and also one more DLC! 
 
The Heavy Cargo Pack add-on has added new heavy oversized cargo to the game, thereby diversifying the gameplay of the game! 
The NEW MEXICO add-on has added a new location and new companies for the transportation of goods to the game! 
A couple of fixes, patches and 2 paint jobs were also announced in a year. 
 
 
 
 

2018 Year!

 
2017 met us even more boring than last year. 
 
This year there were only 3 DLCs released .. Special transport, large oversized cargo with escort, Oregon a new state (one of the most beautiful in my opinion) and a couple of fixes and one Paint Job. Roughly speaking, the year did not turn out very well! 
 
 
 
 

2019 Year!

 
2019! This is the beginning of a really prominent development of the game! 
 
In 2019, 2 states were added: Washingon and Utah, tightened the schedule, added another type of transportation in the form of trees (came out as a separate DLC for Washington) 
and as usual Paint Job 2 pieces! 
In general, this year we already felt the development and support of the game! 
 
 
 
 

2020 Year!

 
Do I really need to tell something about 2020? 
 
Oh yeah .. 2020 has been the best (so far) year ever! 
This year there was an unrealistic amount of changes in both gameplay and others! 
Where to start then? Well, for example, three new trucks came out: FREIGHTLINER, WESTERN STAR 49X, MACK ANTHEM! 
Two new states of Idaho and Colorado! And one more very nice thing in the form of in-cab accessories is Cabin Accessories! 
But that’s not all, we got a remaster of Las Vegas, new graphics and hinted at local multiplayer for the game at the end of the year! 
 
 
 
 

2021 Year!

 
2021 is not over yet! But already this year we have released new graphics with a new lighting system, announced 3 states! And spoil us with news with new patches and versions! 
 
 
 
 

For Developers!

 
You guys from SCS are great! Living in Russia, I play in ATS, because it has the same American atmosphere that I really wanted in games. Do not abandon the project, keep up the good work!
