Scrap Junk
The Lighter colored are more likely to give Gears and Steel Scrap
The Copper tone are more likely to give you gold, scrap, copper
Electronics Junk
Gives you electronic scrap, resistors, circuit boards, basic processors, etc.
Rubber Junk
These give you rubber based products, but have a chance for circuit boards and plastic scrap
Plastic Junk
This is found between the 1st and 3rd Monolith (East of the 1st). This gives mostly plastic scrap, with a chance to get rubber based products and gold scrap.
Rare Metal Junk
This gives mostly rare metal scrap, with chances for gold scrap, capacitors and possibly more.

Farming
Watering the Planters
You will need 6 water buckets for the ship to get the key. You will not get the bucket back
You will need to get into the water with a water pump. Below is one that is in water.
Once you do that, connect it to a Small water tank:
If you use the initial humidifier, then you will need buckets for water to fill it. I didn’t do this as I didn’t initially figure out how to get buckets of water. There is a drain on one side of the storage tank that will fill a bucket.
Run piping to your advanced humidifier to water the planters:
===========================================================================
Setting up your Planters
You will need 1 empty bucket per planter and 6 dirt buckets for the key in the ship. You don’t get the buckets back once you put it in the ship or the planter
In order to start growing in your planters, you will need to set up your dirt extractor. You will need an empty bucket to get dirt (Doesn’t require power of any type):
Once you get dirt in your bucket you need to put it in the Compost:
After you get the dirt from the compost, put the bucket of dirt in the planter. 1 bucket of dirt will handle at least 12 seeds of growth, that is 2 growth cycles as each cycle is 6 seeds each.
Planter without power hooked up and no dirt in it:
“Automation”
Automation is not very automated if you don’t keep the Shredder filled.
Recipes for the Shreder:
Then insert the appropriate scrap for it:
- 1 Scrap Metal = 2 Scrap Shredded
- 1 Rubber Scrap = 3 Rubber Shredded (Straight to Smelter)
- 1 Electronic Scrap = 2 Electronic Shredded
- 1 Plastic Scrap = 1 Plastic Shredded (Currently NO Recipe uses this)
- 1 Rare Metal Scrap = 2 Rare Metal Shredded
Once you get the Shredded component, most of it goes to the Separator
Select your recipe for the Shredder:
The conversion rates are as follows:
- 3 Scrap Shredded = 1 Steel Scrap
- 3 Scrap Shredded = 1 Copper Scrap
- 10 Scrap Shredded = 1 Gold Scrap
- 1 Electronic Shredded = 1 Gold Scrap
- 1 Electronic Shredded = 1 Contaminated Silicone
- 4 Rare Metal Shredded = 1 Contaminated Silicone
- 1 Electronic Shredded = 1 Aluminium Scrap
- 1 Rare Metal Shredded = 1 Aluminium Scrap
- 4 Rare Metal Shredded = 1 Platinum Scrap
Once you get through the Separator or the ones that say Straight to Smelter, you go to the Smelter:
Select the recipe from the Smelter, these rates are also in the Machine-Based Recipe:
- 4 Steel Scrap = 1 Steel Ingot
- 4 Copper Scrap = 1 Copper Ingot
- 4 Gold Scrap = 1 Gold Ingot
- 2 Rubber Shredded = 1 Rubber Ingot
- 2 Plastic Scrap= 1 Plastic Ingot
- 2 Aluminium Scrap = 1 Aluminium Ingot
- 2 Contaminated Silicone = 1 Pure Silicone Ingot
- 2 Platinum Scrap = 1 Platinum Ingot
Rare Metal Junk Runs
Because of how much stuff the Rare Metal Junk, you may want to consider setting up a Container Large and with a belt that runs back to another Container Large at your main base/building location.
