Some of the diplomacy deals made in Chapter 1 are different where Chapter 2 starts including reforms.
Recap
We headed out for Lujiang, Shuxian to meet up with the locals. I forgot the magistrates name there but he offered to bribe ($1000) us. I had a bad feeling about this one like rivalry. We ended up apprehending him and his friends throwing them in prison.
Next stop was Huainan, Juchao. The people there reported stolen goods from the market and gave out the detailed information about him. Alls we had to do was sit and wait for the right moment.
Im a nice guy. I didnt even know his name. If it was any other time I would have gave him a second chance to join my cause. At a time like this I dont have the time or money to spare for his actions no matter what it was. There are bigger issues at hand like the Yellow Turban War. EXECUTEDEXECUTED
After I had the thief put down for his crimes a messenger from Chen found me in the market and requested that I come to Suiyang, Chen immediately. I didnt know this was from Liu Chen the Prince of Chen himself. At the sametime my father wrote to me other day asking that I come home he wanted to talk to me in person about something.
I took up the Prince of Chens offer.
Standing in Suiyang it was a mess. It was already too late when got to the front gates. By the time we got to Suiyang Prince of Chens forces were nearly wiped out. Only a single army remained and it was weakened from a previous battle before we got there. Just staring at them marching away they were most likely heading off to Chenliu in Yingchuan where they were defeated. I got the word later on Liu Chen the Prince of Chen was defeated after fighting an army loyal to Zhang Liang (wounded him in battle hes not killed yet) from Peixan the southern part of Chen. We are all thats left from the old Han Empire siding with Liu Chen coming at his request. The little boy whos emperor cant be trusted as long as hes a puppet to Dong Zhuo. Sooner or later Dong Zhuo will have him killed in front of all of China. We are in no condition to send a rescue to his aid. And by the time we do it will be too late. Its been awhile since Ive been back up north. The people up north seem different like more different than what I knew back in the day like they are shook up about something. Its the war with the Yellow Turbans (fervor). Its worse up north than it is down south. This is the path I chose and this is where we are at.

Northern Campaign Part 1 “The Yellow Line”
194 CE Spring. Coalition To Restore Heavens Mandate

After the battle against Zhang Liang in Suiyang with Chen in ruins diplomacy changed and we were supported by the southern factions. We are still in the process of getting Liu Hong to join.
194 CE Spring. Southern Provinces are not shown.
194 CE Spring. Hostile areas north of Yangtze River (how the council looks at other factions). We are right outside of Xuchang, Yingchuan sieging the commandery. We can use the Yellow River to our advantage in a way to separate our side from the Plains which is owned by the Zhang brothers. Moving east towards Dong while keeping an eye on Luoyang is how we will do this.
194 CE Spring. Hostile areas south of Yangtze River.

194 CE Spring. DEFEND LUOYANG. We are still too few to jump from settlement to settlement pushing back the Zhang brothers and Yellow Turban Rebellions.
194 CE Spring. Current Reforms I was focusing on Military Doctrines.
To be effective on battlefield (campaign map) using the military these are the 4 reforms you need.
- Hereditary Buqu = -2 mustering turns (top left)
- Regional Levy = %10 replenishment (top right)
- Convict Drafts = -2 mustering turns (bottom left)
- Disaster Relief Systems = %2 replenishment (bottom right)
Disaster Relief Systems is part of Agriculture Reforms not Military Doctrines.
This is where we are at. Me (Cao Cao), Xiahou Dun, and Yue Jin are sieging Xuchang. We are being reinforced by a smaller force from Suiyang (Xiahuo Yuan and Dian Wei). We are going to try and take and hold Yingchuan province while keeping an eye on Luoyang and holding onto this side of the Yellow river. We might see our allies from the coalition pass us up and take part in some battles in this region. My wife Lady Bian will be garrison commander as admin in Suiyang, Chen.
194 CE Summer. I let my officers below me take control of the siege taking Xuchang (auto resolve). After we took the settlement believe it or not I saw this happening before it did. Im doing okay. Give me time to recover. I had Xiahuo Yuan scout ahead down the road and kept the main army garrisoned.

My Tiger Cubs are able to scout ahead before the battle starts. We are able to encircle around the enemy before they have a chance to react.

Wei Baihus forces.
We were outnumbered as an all cav unit but we were still victorious. This is how we clear long distance in short time on the map compared to regular units mixed with infantry on foot. My cavalry are pretty much infantry on horseback.
I had both Pan Jun and Ma Xiang executed. If Wei Baihus corpse isnt on the field with his men he survived the battle or managed to escape before we had a chance to kill him. The captured troops I gave a second chance to serve me and mix with my cavalry units in Chen (5% replenishment).
Im not trying to be a show off or turn this into entertainment. The servant was against me the entire time. I had no problem doing this to him. It wasnt assassins its the insubordination from the officers below me.
195 CE Spring. The Han dynasty is no more.

Northern Campaign Part 2 “Mandate War”
The Han Empire (royal family/dynasty) is no longer in power and the puppet emperor abdicated the throne under Dong Zhuo. Im a loyalist towards the royal family things would have been different with me defending the Emperor. This doesnt change our views towards the Zhang brothers. This is going to turn into a natural selection amongst all of us warlords fighting over Luoyang and all of China.
195 CE Spring. Cao Cao vs Wang Rao. I moved the army up north with Xiahuo Yuan as reserves staying behind us. I was certain I didnt need his help as reinforcements for this next battle.

I was wounded in battle not killed. My opponent was chased down and killed maybe wounded unconscious on the field too.
We won. I had Zhao Bo executed after the battle.
195 CE Spring. Now that we are setup next to capital and the gate pass we can keep a better eye on Luoyang.
Liu Biao wants to join the coalition. I rejected the deal. My father Cao Songs political views (Liu Biao is a governor) are different compared to mine in diplomacy. Id rather have Liu Hong down south in the group than Liu Biao.
I took Chenliu and we now own all of Yingchuan. I let my officers below me take command for the attack on the settlement (auto resolve).
Next target is one of the settlements in Dong if everything plays out right. I might even bring up Xiahuo Yuan for reinforcements. Need atleast one army keeping an eye on Luoyang.
195 CE Harvest. Zhou Zhuzhen wants to bring Liu Hong into the coalition (I knew this was going to happen as if its setup). We accepted. We can now begin our attacks on the plains as a whole.
195 CE Harvest. Cao Song (top left), Zhou Zhuzhen (top right), and Liu Hong (bottom) are being tasked out (war coordination in diplomacy) to take settlement Kaiyang. It should be part of Langya province.
We will be sending Prince Sun Ce forces to help out near the Yellow River (Huaixian in Henei). None of this is a guarantee but to let the other factions in the coalition know where to go.
Northern Campaign Part 3 “The New Chen”
195 CE Harvest. Working overtime with the reforms (Dominion Over The Realm schemes).
195 CE Harvest. We found Prince of Chen in one of the local nearby towns. Its an honor to have him in the faction. I brought him on board with the team (recruited). Later on he will be arranged to marry into the family bloodline combining Duchy of Wei with Han dynasty.
Each family needs something special or unique about them like a trait or something that can only be acquired through offspring/marriage passed down to their children and you can combine these traits with other family traits through marriage and offspring.

Northern Campaign Part 4 “Dongping”
196 CE Summer. Liu Chong aka Prince of Chen teaming up with Cao Ang, Prince Min in
196 CE Summer. I made a deal with Dong Zhuo. I have the food if you have the cash.
196 CE Autumn. I finally made it to Dongping. The reason why I didnt want to attack Dongping is because we were not at war with Zhang Jue yet but it was going to happen sooner or later. This would have been a little bit easier to deal with one faction at a time then face all three at once.

As much as I want to upload the files I cant. From here on out we arent going to have replays for the battles unless by some miracle the company goes off cloud without us knowing about it. The company will have the saved battles of Cao Cao not us. We are living the story as Duchy of Wei bloodline family tree they will be saving the battles we do. I will still leave feedback like this but no files to upload.
