Welcome to my Yakuza 6 Completionist Guide

Yakuza 6 is the seventh game in the franchise and potentially the last one for the Kiryu saga. Honestly I really felt sad when I beat the game after the journey that I went through with Kiryu from Yakuza 0 all the way to this. Hopefully Ichiban can carry on Kiryu’s legacy forward. Kind of wished we got more of Kiryu’s game in the dragon engine since it’s really beautiful and more immersive. Yakuza 6 is the easiest to complete out of all the Yakuza games. So for people that find the other Yakuza games daunting to complete, this game might well be for you!

Big shoutout to Mr. Yakuza himself CyricZ from gamefaqs and Neoseeker for helping on a couple of things in this guide. Some things to note in this guide :

• I once again will not be going in detail for the substories since I don’t want to spoil anything and also the completion list, since it’s no longer required to get all of them and the completion list itself is really easy
• You might potentially need to finish the game twice to get all of the achievements. Once on any difficulty you like, and once more on legend. Why potentially ? I will explained that in the last section of this guide.
• I am not a native English speaker, so if I made a mistake or said the wrong things, I apologize.

So with that out of the way let’s once again return to Kamarucho to end Kiryu’s eternal struggle to move on with his life and his past continuing to drag him back

Story Related

You will obtained all of this naturally as you progress through the main story although there is one achievement that is potentially missable in chapter 3. You can start your first playtrough on any difficulty except the legend difficulty since it is locked until you finish your first playtrough.

During your first night in Onomichi early on in chapter 3, you will play this minigame as a part of the story. The thing to note is to pay attention to Haruto’s body language to indicate what he wants you to do. This minigame is only available at this part of the game therefore it is potentially missable.

Completion list are tracked in five categories, which is : adventure, battle, substories, minigames, and clan creator. You will get most of them naturally and you’ll receive notifications in progress on some and every time you complete one. Don’t worry the completion list in Yakuza 6 is the easiest alongside Yakuza Kiwami 2 in the franchise. I will not be listing the completion list since you are no longer required to get all of them like the previous games and also the completion list in game is already enough for the player to understand.

If you’ve played Kiwami 2 before than you know how the stats and skills in this game works. Basically you get experience from a lot of things for example : fights, minigames, eating, drinking, substories, completion list. There are different types of exp for the stats and skills. These are the different types of experiences :

• Red – strength
• Blue – agility
• Yellow – spirit
• Green – technique
• Purple – charm

Life of the Dragon

Raised Health to a natural 150.
Your four base stats can be improved by applying increasing amounts of experience to each. Each increase adds two points to that stat. Do this all the way to get to 150 and the achievement is yours.

Strength of the Dragon

Raised Attack to a natural 150.
Same as the above

Vitality of the Dragon

Raised Defense to a natural 150.
Same as the above

Speed of the Dragon

Raised Evade to a natural 150.
Same as the above

Heat of the Dragon

Raised the Heat Gauge to a natural 150.
Same as the above

Limit Breaker

Raised all stats to a natural 200.
Increase all of your stats to 200 and the achievement is yours

Peak Kiryu

Raised all stats to a natural 300.
All of your stats are initially capped at 200, but once you’ve maxed them all the cap will be raised to 300. Increasing all of the stats t0 300 as well as getting all of the skills requires a lot experience that is more tha the story and substories can get. This can potentially be a grind.

A Man’s Experience

Obtained 1,000 total experience points.
Will happen naturally

A Fighter’s Experience

Obtained 10,000 total experience points.
Will happen naturally

A Dragon’s Experience

Obtained 100,000 total experience points.
Will potentially happen naturally as well. But to get all of the skills and increasing stats all the way to 300 requires a little bit of grinding. Recommended to buy MUSCLE and BURN from RIZAP and then go to Sushi Gin to eat all of the food there, if your stomach gauge is full consume BURN and repeat the process. Another trick is to play the game using yakuza training gear and either wrist or ankle training gear to increase your experience by 40%. Another one is to always fight Sodachi or Saigo once you’ve finished their substories using said gear.

Clan Creator

Clan creator makes a return from Yakuza Kiwami 2 but slightly different. In Yakuza Kiwami 2 the clan creator was a tower defense, this one is the reverse of that. You will encounter this as part of the story in chapter 5. There are three types of mission in this minigames which is : main missions, sub-missions, and online missions. Let me tell you right now that clan creator has the most time consuming achievement in this game and you’re going to grind a lot. Clan creator is also the place where you can farm money.

Kiryu Clan Founder

Assembled the Kiryu Clan.

Kiryu Clan Captain

Reached level 3 in the Kiryu Clan.
Complete the main missions and your clan’s organization level will increase. This achievement will unlock as you reach level 3 for the organization.

Kiryu Clan Patriarch

Completed the Clan Creator storyline.
Simply complete all of the main missions in clan creator

Word on the Streets

Raised the Kiryu Clan’s influence to 10,000.
As your organization increase in level, the number of leaders that you can include in your structure increases as well. The more leaders in your organization and the higher their level is, the higher your influence increase.

Kiryu Clan Enforcer

Maxed out a Kiryu Clan leader’s stats.
This requires you to raise one of your leaders to level 99. They gain experience from just completing missions but you can also train them by spending your own experience on them. Level 99 will be a grind fest but it goes hand in hand with 100 victories achievement.

On the Winning Team

Achieved 100 victories with the Kiryu Clan.
In short you have to win 100 missions. Recommended to grind the tanahashi remnants sub mission because it’s pretty high level, that way you can farm exp and money at the same time.

There will be a total of 51 substories across Kamarucho and Onomichi. There are a lot of substories that are sequential (you have to finish the previous substories first before the next becomes available) and tied to a minigame. As I said before, I won’t be explaining all of the substories in detail and will only be showing when and where the substories become available.

Amon Defeated

Defeated Amon on any difficulty.
Amon will only be available at the final chapter of the game and after you’ve finished all of the other substories. Compared to the Amon from previous games, this one is not really that hard. Just stock up some medicine and bring your best gear and you will be fine.

Trouble missions

This will first be introduced in chapter 2, and after that you will begin receiving notifications on your phone mentioning that people are in trouble in both Kamarucho and Onomichi. Accept the mission after receiving the notification and a mission icon will appear in your map (purple colored icon). There are 40 mission in total and they will appear in a random order. You can’t fail any of the trouble mission, since they will reappear later on.

Minigames

These are all of achievements that are related to minigames

Dragon of DoGYMa

Experienced every RIZAP training.
RIZAP is a gym replacing bowling in the Theater Plaza. It offers six exercise, which you can only do two in one setting. To get the achievement, you need to do all of the exercise.

I’ll Have the Calamari

Defeated the Emperor Squid.
You will gain access to the fishing minigame in Onomichi as a part of a substory (substory 47). The fishing minigame in Yakuza 6 is vastly different from the previous games. You will be given a speargun. Shoot fish and treasure chest to gain points and money. Getting attacked by fish lowers your oxygen. The minigame ends when your oxygen is depleted or if you defeated the boss at the end. Emperor squid is the boss at the first fishing course. Defeat him and you will get the achievement.

If beating the Emperor Squid is too difficult for you then i recommend buying Ahab’s Revenge which is the best speargun in the game (High spear count and high damage). You can buy it in the Onomichi’s Black Market (which you have to talk to the chef at La Pente first after advancing clan creator to unlock it) for 300,000 yen.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

Reached Beloved Customer rank at Snack New Gaudi.
You will gain access to New Gaudi in Onomichi as part of susbtory (substory 40). There are a total of 6 people that you can interact, but only some of them will be available to talk to early on. Increase your friendship level by playing darts, singing karaoke, and drinking with them. There is a rank in the shape of a pyramid. Get the second highest rank to attain the achievement

Club Shine Star

Requested every hostess.
When you enter Club Shine in Kamarucho, you can pick which hostess you want to talk to. Simply pick all of them to get this achievement. But there is 5 substories tied to each hostess, so you will have to talk to all of them regardless. The cabaret club minigame in this game is a bit different from the previous games. You still need to raise the hostess meter when talking to them, but this time they give conversation topics. There are several types of conversation topics which are : sexy, talk, love, dandy, and party. Consecutively choosing the same type will increase the effect of the conversation on the girls meter. When the conversation ends you will receive love points (invisible points to progress their rank) depending on how well it went.

The goal is to get every hostess to their highest rank which is the diamond rank. Once a hostess reach their highest rank it will open up her substory for you to finish. Here is the hostess rank and the love points required to achieve them :

The Internet’s Real Purpose

Chatted with both lovely Live Chat ladies.
After substory 22, you will gain access to live chat minigame available in Kamarucho. Buy points to enter a chat with either of the two ladies. The achievement will be unlocked after you chat with both of them.

To Be This Good Takes AGES

Played every Club SEGA game.
There are 6 sega arcade games available at the only two club sega in Kamarucho. Here are the list of sega games:

• Puyo puyo
• Virtua fighter 5
• Outrun
• Super hang-on
• Space harrier
• Fantasy zone

Play each game regardless of difficulty and outcome to get the achievement.

Minigames II

That’s Purrecious

Rescued three stray cats.
Visit the cat café in Kamarucho (located in the Senryo Avenue) early on to get stray cats to appear across Kamarucho and Onomichi. There are 19 in total for both cities. They will appear when you hear them purr and will be indicated by a blue dot in your map. Approach the cat and you will be prompted to feed it (cat food is available at the cat café and certain stores). Depending on the cat and the food you give them, their friendship meter will increase (will take several times if you don’t get the right food). This achievement will unlock after you befriended three of them.

The temple in Onomichi provides sort of fortune telling in the shrine. Chose one of the papers that you get and hope to get the great blessing fortune to get the achievement. You can always try again if you didn’t get it.

Play Ball!

Won a baseball game.
After completing substory 34, you can access the baseball minigame and substories via taxi to the baseball field in Onomichi. There is not much to do in this minigame as it’s sort of a sim game but there is times where you can actually bat but these are randomized. Players gain experience after each game regardless of the outcome of the match but you can also train them with tickets that can be earned after winning a match. This achievement only require you to win one match but there is more substories to do in this minigame so I suggest getting all of the players that you can recruit because they are vastly better than the one you get early on.

Live to Fight Another Day

Ran away from 10 encounters successfully.
This achievement only counts the encounters where you’ve actually entered combat. Running away from enemies that only just started running at you doesn’t count.

Get Out and Stay Out!

Made a store employee angry at you.
Bait a group of enemies into a convenience store and break everything there. Once the fight ends, make sure to talk to the employee to get the achievement.

Off the Beaten Path

Found a secret passage.
Pass through a narrow passage in either Kamarucho or Onomichi. One of the indicators that you’re passing these passage is when Kiryu walk through it sideways. There are a number of these across Kamarucho and Onomichi. Here are the examples :

Not the Brightest Idea

Jumped from a dangerously high place.
This achievement requires you to fall from a high place. There are a couple of spots where you can get this. The easiest one is the roof of Batting Center in Kamarucho that can be access by a ladder in the side of the building in front of Kanrai.

Pretty Tasty

Activated five types of eatery combos.
Ordering certain food together in a restaurant will provide you with bonus experience. There are 30 food combinations that you can get from all of the restaurant and bar across Kamarucho and Onomichi. Upgrade your stomach gauge so that you can order a lot of food at once.

Ono Michio is the famous mascot for Onomichi. He will appear in the town after you’ve completed susbtory 31. When you find him, interact and take a photo of him. He can both appear during the daytime and night time

• At the west end of Shopping Street
• In a roof in front of New Gaudi
• At the Ferry Platform

Can of Whoop A*s

Engaged enemies while a drink’s effect is active.
Vending machines returned from Yakuza Kiwami 2 and they are all over the place in Kamarucho and Onomichi (green box in your map). The drinks in those vending machine provide temporary bonus like experience, defense, money, etc. Get into a fight while you have one of those bonus active.

Life Through Kiryu’s Eyes

Walked 30 seconds in first-person mode.
There is a first person mode that can be activated just like the previous games, but unlike those games you can actually move around in first person. Simply walk around in first person mode for 30 seconds.

No Photos!

Got surrounded by enemies while trying to take a picture.
There is your phone’s camera that you can bring up to take photos. Just bring your phone’s camera and move towards a group of enemies and this achievement will unlocked.

Epilogue

Dragon of Legend

Completed the game on LEGEND difficulty.
This achievement requires you to complete the game on legend difficulty (the highest difficulty). Legend difficulty is only available after finishing your very first playtrough. There is two way on doing this, the easy way or the long way. The long way is just doing it normally, while the easy way is to create a separate save in the final chapter of your first playtrough. Once you’ve completed the game and unlocked the legend difficulty, load the save of your first playtrough and change the difficulty to legend in the settings.

The Song of Life

Obtained all other achievements.
Simply get every achievement in the game
