Greetings! This guide will cover all the 12 achievements for Twelve Minutes. I have made this guide to help players who want to get the achievements in a ‘single’ playthrough/sitting.

This guide will also contain SPOILERS and is NOT a full walkthrough.

Introduction

Before we begin, this guide will be sorted by the order of when you can start acquiring them. Each section is divided by their respective achievements and in them will include the requirements and method(s) of acquiring them. Again, most of the requirements involve reaching certain points in the game so I will include the spoiler tag to any that contains spoilers. Some achievements will also require multiple interactions throughout the game that may force you to delete all your progress and restart from the beginning if not done correctly.

With that out of the way let’s move on to the achievements.

Listen [XI]

Requirements

 

• None

 

Method of Acquiring

This one is fairly simple. When you first start the game follow the tutorial until you enter your home (using the spare key from the potted plant). As soon as you enter the door, DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING and let the dialogue play out. You will get the achievement once the dialogues are finished and you will be brought back to the beginning of the game. The dialogue spoken here will give some context to the overall story but does not affect the story directly.

Fluidity [X]

Requirements

 

• None

 

Method of Acquiring

This one is also simple. At any time, grab either available mugs and fill it with water using the sink. Then, go to your bedroom and water the flower plant on top of the dresser table.

Faun [VII]

Requirements

Interact with the painting in your bedroom at 3 different times

• Before finding out your wife’s past
• After finding out your wife’s past
• After finding out her past, your past and a scene with the father

 

Method of Acquiring

As you gather more clues throughout the game, the paintings will change indicating different stages of the game. The requirements above show when they change based on my experience. However, it is recommended you check the paintings every time you enter a new loop.

Seasons [VIII]

Requirements

Interact with the painting in the living room behind the sofa at 4 different times

• Before finding out your wife’s past
• Before finding out your wife’s past and after the scene with the cop
• After finding out your wife’s past
• After finding out your her past and your past

 

Method of Acquiring

As you gather more clues throughout the game, the paintings will change indicating different stages of the game. The requirements above show when they change based on my experience. However, it is recommended you check the paintings every time you enter a new loop.

Ouroboros [IX]

Requirements

Interact with the painting above the at 3 different times

• Before finding out your wife’s past
• After finding out your wife’s past and your past
• After coming back from Alone ending (see Alone [III] section)

 

Method of Acquiring

As you gather more clues throughout the game, the paintings will change indicating different stages of the game. The requirements above show when they change based on my experience. However, it is recommended you check the paintings every time you enter a new loop.

Gardener [XII]

Requirements

Watering the flower plant in your bedroom throughout the game and getting the 3 sub endings

• Confessed (see Confessed [IV] section)
• Coward (see Coward [V] section)
• Groundhog (see Groundhog [VI] section)

 

Method of Acquiring

Make sure you water the flower plant in every loop. Each loop you enter, you will notice the plant growing if done correctly. For each one of the sub endings you’ve gone through, a flower bud will pop up on the flower plant in your bedroom.

If by the time you get all the 3 sub endings and the plant has withered, you can break the vase with the knife from the kitchen to regrow the plant. Leave the front door and restart the loop while watering the plant until you get the achievement.

Confessed [IV]

Requirements

Finding out her past, your past and encountering the first scene with the father

Method of Acquiring

After meeting the requirement, restart the time loop. Greet the wife and then go into the bathroom. Use the spare key on the ventilation grid under the medical cabinet. Grab the stopwatch but don’t examine it . Talk to the wife and reveal that you murdered the father, say “It’s my fault” and agree to turn yourself over to the police.

After that, go into the cabinet store and close the door. Grab the phone from the clothes and call Bumblebee (see a guide on how to get her number if you haven’t already). Tell her that you are the murderer, then wait for the cop to show up. After the dialogue, tell the cop you are the murderer and give him the stopwatch. When all is done, the wife will ask you to leave and you will reset the time loop and get the achievement.

Coward [V]

Requirements

Finding out her past, your past and encountering the first scene with the father

Method of Acquiring

After meeting the requirement, restart the time loop. Grab the phone from the cabinet room, then be greeted by the wife. After that, grab both mugs (to avoid her from making a drink for herself) and fill one with water from the sink. Then, go to the bathroom and close the door. Take the sleeping pill from the cabinet and combine it with the mug of water. Go to your bedroom and turn on the light switch ONCE. Then, give the mug of water with pills to the wife. After a while she will go to the bedroom to sleep.

Close all the lights and doors, then go into the cabinet store and close the door to pass the time. Once the cop has arrived and entered the apartment, he will turn on the light switch in the bedroom, get electrocuted and become unconscious. Grab a handcuff from the ‘cop’ and tie him up. After he regains consciousness, talk to him. Say you’re innocent and agree to cooperate. From here, just do what the cop tells you to and it should reset the loop eventually and net you the achievement.

Groundhog [VI]

Requirements

Finding out her past, your past and encountering the first scene with the father

Method of Acquiring

After meeting the requirement, restart the time loop. Immediately go to the cabinet store and close the door. Grab the phone from the clothes and call Bumblebee. Tell her the reason her father is coming to your home. After that open the door and greet the wife. Talk to her and say you are ready for dessert. (Optional) Set up the table for her. When she gives you the present and tells you her surprise, respond with “It’s gonna be great” and agree to dance with her.

She will then tempt you to the bedroom. After the following scenes, the time loop occurs and you will get the achievement.

Alone [III]

Requirements

Finding out her past, your past and encountering the first scene with the father

Method of Acquiring

After meeting the requirement, restart the time loop. Immediately go into the bathroom. Use the spare key on the ventilation grid under the medical cabinet. Grab the stopwatch and examine it . You will be brought to the final sequence. On this part, choose the dialogue option to leave and run away from the daughter.

The time loop will reset and you are brought back to your apartment. Go into the bathroom. Use the spare key on the ventilation grid under the medical cabinet and grab the stopwatch. Turn the minute hand to 2 minutes before 12 and you will be brought back to the final sequence and get the achievement.

Mindfulness [II]

Requirements

 

• Finding out her past, your past and encountering the first scene with the father
• Interacting with the book your wife is reading at least once

 

Method of Acquiring

After meeting the requirement, restart the time loop. Greet the wife and click on the book she’s reading when she’s on the couch. Immediately go into the bathroom. Use the spare key on the ventilation grid under the medical cabinet. Grab the stopwatch and examine it .

You will be brought to the final sequence. Wait until the father finishes his dialogue and stand in front of you forcing you to make a decision. Quickly click on the red book (similar to the one the wife was reading) on the shelf behind you. After you regain control, click on the wall clock above and wait till it strikes 12. You should get the achievement and be brought back to the main menu. Turn the minute hand to 2 minutes before 12 to reveal the Continue button and be brought back to the final sequence.

Continue (I)

Requirements

 

• Finding out her past, your past and encountering the first scene with the father
• Interacting with the book your wife is reading at least once

 

Method of Acquiring

In the final sequence, click on the red book (similar to the one your wife was reading) on the shelf behind you. The father will change his tone and dialogue. Just wait until the dialogue ends. WARNING, your game will be reset and all progress will be deleted after getting this. Make sure you finish all remaining achievements to avoid restarting.
