Fenrir is the end-boss in the Saga mode of the game.

Update

Due to the new update, playing with 8+ people will be harder than playing solo. This is because of the scaling they have added to the game. The more people there are, the less souls you get from enemies, gathering and other resources. This is to make it harder with multiple people.

However, if you are in contact with every member, then this is still the best way to go. If you can get in a random server and communicate with them, then it would still be easier than solo. This is because you can spread your souls and materials across all of your village instead of doing what everyone needs to do solo.

Can you do it solo?

When you’re learning the game or not having Seer or without knowing where to go and how to get certain materials, you can’t do it solo, even if you know how to. You can however do it solo once you understand the game a bit more and after you’ve been to him. Understanding his moves isn’t that hard, however if you don’t know them, you’ll die over and over again. This is why i suggest not doing it solo until you’ve got golden horns to get legendary gear and know how to manage the timing between upgrades, building, exploring, farming, etc.

Playing with friends [I have non]

Playing it with friends is fun and all, but unless everyone know’s what they are doing and you have at least 3 people, then that’s not the way to go. If you want to play with friends for a long time, then play survival because you will have a lot more fun and it would last longer.

Public matches

If you thought going straight into a public match with 10 max people, then you are absolutely correct wrong. The reason you are correct wrong is because you have at least 6 people in the match.

You should just search for a match, join it and ask if anyone is doing Fenrir. People will usually answer [if not, completely ignore you while eating in the mic], if they don’t, then just leave the match, and re-join another one.

You may start halfway through the first day, but let’s be honest, that doesn’t really matter. It might take between 30 minutes to however you long you decide to stay in the game, but you will get it done.

Any other way?

As far as I know, there isn’t really any other way of farming Fenrir. I’ve asked multiple people and done multiple hours of research on it, but I can’t find anything other than this.

What you need

THIS IS NOT THE ORDERS YOU NEED THEM IN, IT’S JUST WHAT YOU NEED OVERALL
You need 15 Jotunn fragments, which you get from killing the huge giants.
Then you need to get 5 Hideout fragments, which you get from the hideout that will be somewhere in the dessert.
You will then need to do events around the world, such as the stag, the chickens, the prisoner and so on. You will need 50 Event fragments.
And finally, 25 Quest fragments. At the very start after you’ve reached level 2, got enough items to get your equipment, go to the top near the healer and a board will be there. Look at the board and choose the quests [Hover over the quest to see the rewards if you’re unsure of what they are] [Also, you need to do a couple of these, so start with the easiest as they will be closer and obviously easier]

Farming

Now, you’re probably thinking how you should do it right? Well, you should build the bridge before day 9. Day 9 allows you to give yourself more time to farm the fragments that you need. It’s brilliant if you already have all the fragments and you’re roaring to go, go for it since it’s a free night [ONLY IF YOU DON’T NEED TO FARM. You should have at least a purple and a green weapon. Make sure to have multiple backup weapons if you don’t have the rune that let’s you keep some souls after dying]. Day 12 [Night 13] is probably your best bet. At this time, you should have late-game gear, and it will be easier to kill Fenrir over the day and night, so as soon as you finish with the monsters attacking the village, head STRAIGHT to Fenrir. By the time the monsters are back, Fenrir should be dead.

Your question [Maybe]

You’re probably asking won’t everyone just go straight to Fenrir when possible? The answer to that sir/madam, is . People do stay behind to defend if they lack the equipment to fight Fenrir. They should also kill the giant that comes at day 14 if you still haven’t killed Fenrir, however if everyone goes to Fenrir, ask some people to stay behind, or if you’re a good sport, stay and defend yourself, as long as he dies, it still counts for you.
