Now you might’ve encountered this error, and if you did there’s almost no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way to fix it on google. All you get is fixes for the mobile version that’s 6 years old, which don’t really actually tell the OP how to fix it. Which wont help you in anyway, so you start to blame the devs for the lack of information on what the problem is which only tells you.
 

• Memory didn’t respond correctly.
• Detected apps that may affect gameplay.

So you start to research what that means and apparently it was used to prevent cheating, which I can only assume BY SCANNING YOUR SYSTEM (just guessing). But don’t worry it wouldn’t be on steam then if it was dangerous. Anyways even if you close everything, people seem to still get the error.
 
 
 

“Fix”

Which the fix for it is quite simple, just click the “Reacquire Data” text at the top right of the screen on the loading screen the moment you open the game. You can even click it with the stupid error open and you don’t lose save data, now you will have to wait a while depending on your internet speed.

Also you’d need to do this every time you reopen the game, but that’s besides the point. This hasn’t failed me yet, but you might rarely get a “failed to reacquire data” error instead. Which will cause you to close the game, which means more waiting if you reopen it!
