Every single character in this war of mine has 5 stats, firearm proficiency, melee proficiency, backstab proficiency, ambush proficiency, and health, the sheet here explains the stats for each character:

Weaponry

 
You’d be nothing without your weaponry, this section of the guide goes over weapons, firearms and melee alike. 
The crowbar, the worst melee weapon in the game, but it manages to hold it’s ground, in the hands of roman it can backstab and in the hands of a standard combatant it can ambush kill. overall pretty good, should only be used for loud combat as the most trained combatants as anybody worth their salt will hit almost every time. the crowbar needs tier 4 ambush stat to instantly kill, and tier 5 backstab to instantly kill 
 
Lo, the shovel, in the hands of anybody even remotely adequate in combat this thing can ambush insta kill, anybody with tier 3 ambush stat, will insta kill, anybody with tier 4 backstab stat gets an instant kill. 
 
the knife, 100% standard, boring almost, deals the same damage as the hatchet so we aren’t talking about the hatchet. needs tier 3 ambush stat to insta kill, needs tier 4 backstab stat to insta kill. 
 
NOW TO FIREARMS, the pistol, it’s only really good against melee attackers, because any other firearm will destroy you. pros: re-aims really fast, easy to find, it’s possible to literally find it at your base, shoots fast. cons: horrible damage, you couldn’t kill the couple at the quiet house with this thing. 
 
The shotgun, this thing is amazing indoors, but horrible at range. pros: STUPID DAMAGE, boris with helmet and vest gets severely wounded in one shot, this thing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane. if you have melee with somebody and get hit, you can blast them with your shotgun cons: takes forever to reaim, damage drops to lower than pistol level at a distance. overall, better than the pistol, this thing is more for hit and run. 
 
The assault rifle, an all rounder, amazing damage, amazing range, amazing fire rate, pros: good at everything. cons: maybe wastes ammo. 
 
The scoped assault rifle, you’d assume it’d just be the assault rifle with more range right? just kidding, it’s the assault rifle but it deals as much damage as the pistol, with the fire rate of the shotgun, it’s ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless, the only place it can really be put to use is guarding the shelter.
