Currently, while modding Classic Doom, what I felt is that Classic Doom must be pixelated. That is the aesthetics of Classic Doom. The point is that if you set the absolute texture filtering to Linear, the graphics are really halved.
So how do you play classic Doom in a classic way? That’s the key point.
I’ve been playing classic Doom so far, but playing with the GZDoom default option is a really sad graphic, so I’m very reluctant, so I started the ZDOOM forum in the mind of how to show classic and modern visuals in basic Doom I’ve been looking for mods, but it’s hard to find a mod that makes such a big difference. However, by applying various mods, it shows a slightly better picture quality than the basic options of GZDoom or the classic Doom of Steam or Bethesda, so I hope that it will be sweet news for players who are eager to enjoy classic Doom.
Doom Classic : Remastered Edition
First, let me tell you what you need to download.
First, get the latest version of GZDoom. Currently the latest version is 4.6.
forum.zdoom.org – https://zdoom.org/downloads <= This mode allows the HUD to be displayed symmetrically. In order not to cover the middle hand (?)
www.doomworld.com – https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/99021-doom-neural-upscale-2x-v-10/ <= AI upscaling mode for existing textures, monsters, and item sprites.

www.doomworld.com – https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/99021-doom-neural-upscale-2x-v-10/?page=23 <= The most important mod, Neural Upscaled, is the Neural version of Smooth Doom, an improved version of the classic Doom.
Please refer to the link below for the original forum.zdoom.org – https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=45550.
When the existing Smooth Doom monsters move, they don’t move smoothly and look cut off, but they move smoothly or the death animation transitions smoothly. Also, death animations have been added, and there are various other additions such as bouncing shells and shaking screens when shooting guns, making the sprites of items look similar to the Doom 64 version, and also making enemies’ bullets fly faster with the rebalance.
forum.zdoom.org – https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=64299 <= This file will make certain parts of the enemy’s eyes or weapons glow.
forum.zdoom.org – https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=62772&hilit=simple+motion <= Add motion blur to the screen.
forum.zdoom.org – https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=59289&p=1193153&hilit=shader+tools#p1193153 <= It raises the overall brightness of the screen, unlike the default GZDoom, raising the overall brightness has no difference, and it is the same as raising the overall brightness like the existing Steam or Doom on other platforms.
BloomBoost.pk3 <= This is a mode that illuminates brighter and brighter than the existing GZDoom bloom as it is called Bloom Boost. It becomes bright as if applied in Reshade.
forum.zdoom.org – https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=59412#p1039497 <= Toggle the existing original Doom settings to show the original Doom quality. This is also customizable, so if you want to see it like the original Doom, it would not be bad to download and check it.
The following is an ogg or mp3 recording of an existing mid file of a module called SoundCanvas SC-55, which was most used when DOOM was released.
This can be obtained from the site below.
www.dropbox.com – https://sc55.duke4.net/games.php#, copy the file with the ini extension to the GZDoom folder, and replace it with the file you will receive.
