I understand this achievement can be a little daunting, but I’ve done my best to make things as easy to follow as possible. As long as you just stick to each step as closely as possible, you should be able to get the achievement! Without further ado, let’s get started!
 
 
 

Step 1: Play The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.

The first step is going to be to play The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. This is important for the achievement to work, and will also help you get an understanding of the game’s basic mechanics, which will be important later.
 
 
 

Step 2: Exit the game.

This is an incredibly crucial step for this achievement, but a lot of people forget. Make sure you have completely stopped playing The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe before continuing.
 
 
 

Step 3: Leave your house.

There are a lot of choices available to you once you’ve stopped playing The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, but the best way to ensure you get this achievement will be to leave everything you’ve ever known.

This one can be particularly tricky, especially if you skipped past the earlier step of getting an estranged cousin in Williston, North Dakota, but I assure you it’s possible. Most of the challenge of this part comes from taking care of house chores in exchange for being able to stay there while you find a job, but it’s crucial if you want to get this achievement.
 
 
 

Step 6: Get a job coaching an elementary softball team.

After a few weeks you should be able to get hired coaching softball at Lewis and Clark Elementary School, leaning on your own childhood experiences with the sport. This can be pretty tricky at the start, as you won’t know very much at all about running a team, but these lovable rascals should help you discover new things about yourself, and what’s missing in your life.
 
 
 

Step 7: Fall in love with a woman named Maria.

That name might sound familiar—don’t worry, it should be. We don’t know why, but so far everyone agrees that this woman’s name really rings a bell.
 
 
 

Step 8: Turn left down the hallway.

After the book store you’re going to want to go left, and continue on that route. Remember your training back in Step 1 for this part!
 
 
 

Step 9: Purchase tickets to your computer.

Despite the amazing community you’ve found, the love you’ve cultivated, and the two children you’ve come to hold dearer than anything else in the world, remember, we’re trying to get an achievement! Don’t worry, removing yourself from the comforts of the known and the support of friends and family is much easier the second time round. If you don’t get it on your first try, just keep going; you’re bound to leave those you love behind eventually!
 
 
 

Step 10: Turn on your computer, and launch The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.

Congratulations! Once The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe has finished booting up, you should be presented with your achievement! If it doesn’t work, try starting a game and walking around a little, or redoing the Everest vacation. If you still don’t have the achievement, just go back to Step 2 and try again.
