A manual guide for The Mortuary Assistant. It will cover topics like Embalming, Identifying Marks, Demonic Mechanics, and the Endings.
 

IDENTIFYING MARKES

 
Before embalming, you’ll need to identify any distinguishable marks. You can inspect the head, arms, legs and back of the bodies, as well as the shoulders, hips, knees, and back. Certain parts can be turned around Get a better look

Rebecca will voice a line to let you know when you’re done in the main games. The counter shows how many marks are left on your clipboard. (Marks you’ve discovered/Marks total) . Once you are done with the identification marks, go to your computer near the body and then open the document. RECORD-SYSTEM . From there, you can match the Name, Age, and Discovered Marks Make sure to fill in the appropriate sections on your computer. Once you are done entering them, click submit and grab the printed record from the printer to your side.
 
 
 

PROCESS OF EMBALMING

 
The in-game tutorial does an excellent job of explaining the mechanics clearly. This section will concentrate on any deviations to what you’ll see during the main section.
 
 

• Retrieve body from cold storage
   
   
  Keep one of the three bodies cold in storage. (Do not forget to note that the position is subject to change from shifts to shifts.
• Inspect Body
   
   
  The tutorial is the same process. The only difference is that you have to change the entry on top for each subsequent body that you investigate.
• Wire jaws closed with [NEEDLE IJECTOR], and (SETTINGS NEEDLES)
   
   
  Items that you will need are kept in the cabinet beside the desk and not on the table.
• Insert [EYE CAPIS] to keep your eyes shut
   
   
  Same cabinet as in the previous step.
• Mix embalming fluid in pump (Glutaraldehyde, Methanol, Humectant, Formaldehyde, Reagent)
   
   
  These will be stored in the shelves and closets around the embalming chamber. The Baleful Reagent will be found in the cabinet with the old key to unlock.
• Make a cut in the carotid and jugular arteries with [SCALPEL]
   
   
  The eye caps and any other item will be kept in the same cabinet.
• Use [FORCEPS] clamp [TUBING] into both veins, and connect to the embalming pumps
   
   
  The forceps and the eye caps will be in one cabinet. The tubing will be in another closet, underneath the moisturizing wis.
• Pump the body and let it drain
   
   
  Same as the tutorial.
• Turn off pump and remove tubes. Close incision
   
   
  Same as the tutorial.
• Fill an HTML4RESERVOIRBAG with and then insert [TROCAR] in the abdominal cavity
   
   
  The empty IV reservoir bag will be located in the same cabinet with the glutaraldehyde and the cavity fluid in the same location as the tutorial. The trocar is in a similar cabinet to the eye caps.
• Use the bathroom cleaners to make [TANK CLOTHER]. After that, pour into the embalming tank.
   
   
  Same as the tutorial.
• Apply (MOISTURIZER) to facial features
   
   
  They’re both on the same counter as humectants.
• Return to cold storage
   
   
  Same as the tutorial.

 
 
 

DEMONIC MECHANICS

 
 

• The Night Shift Database Your one-stop-shop for all things demonic. It’s a great place to find demon-related information. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t yet looked through the database.
• Signing Strips: Used for identifying sigils in the mortuary. Use your sub-menu to take them out and then walk around the facility using their respective hotkeys. If the parchment begins burning, it’s close from the sigil. The sigil is exposed, close you’re currently standing.
• Signils: These are the symbols you’ll use to identify which demon currently inhabits one of your bodies. There will be four, each with a lettering s*rip.
• The Body of the Demon: Some bodies you work on might do certain things which will give you clues as to which one they are currently possessing. It can vary from new body markings to subtle face movements. The demon can and will use these to throw you off the right body from time-to-time, so be careful.
• The Mark After you’ve figured out the demon and all the sigils, you’ll put the symbols onto your mark. Finally, place the body of the mark.
• Baleful Resagent: An extra-special concoction you can add to your pump mixture.
• Possession You’ll be in demonic possession if you take too much time to complete your tasks, or burn a body without attaching a mark. This is basically a game over.
• Notes, Paper and Notes: After being introduced to the main storyline, you can get these at the front desk. They will be used in your inventory menu to track the current possession level. The markings get more erratic with each increment of the counter.
• Match & Ash: As you walk around River Fields Mortuary, you might have noticed a box of matches or bags for collecting ashes. These objects may help you identify which of the three bodies is possessed.

 
 
 

ENDINGS

 
 

• CORRECT BODYENDING: Use the correct sigils and burn the correct body.
• INORRECT BODY ENDING If you have completed two bodies, don’t forget to add reagent or use the wrong sigils.
• STANDARD TIME: You must complete a shift after your first one.
• BASEMENT ENDING During a specific scene, locate the key to the basement. You can close the basement door to complete your shift.
• CLOSURE: Collect the sobriety tokens from Rebecca’s apartment and then put them in the cabinets that contain the ID cards. Place the coins on Rebecca’s palms after she is presented with a Rebecca from a noose. You can then continue the game by burning the correct body with the correct symbols.
• GAME OVER “ENDING” You can continue this shift if you’re brought back to the main-menu. It acts as a Game Over’ for that player.
