A guide to 100% completion as of the February 18, 2022 patch.
This Guide will show all Lore, Riddles, Jam, and Scents within The Scout Act I, as well as the points of interest required for the golden wayglass, broken down by level.
The game is extremely linear, so this guide will not be a gameplay walkthrough.

*note: the in-game level total shows 23 lore to find in this level, however there are only 15
The level begins with you choosing to play as either Liam or Sophia. The gameplay is the same between the two, so choose whichever strikes your fancy, then continue on through the tutorial.
During the tutorial you will be required to learn the scent for Chili Peppers, giving Scent 1/3.
Once the tutorial section has finished, you are given a tour of the camp through your wayglass by the character you did not choose to play as. The points they direct you to look at do not count towards the “I – spy” achievement and the Golden Wayglass, so as soon as the tour ends, interact with the stack of stones again to find the 5 points of interest needed for the upgrade:
The front gate, located up the hill from the watchtower
The outhouse, near the base of the watchtower
The lighthouse, directly behind your tourguide
The lookout, next to the doorway to the caves
The boats on the shore, near the main tent
The camera will zoom in when hovering over a point of interest, so it should be simple to find them.
Once that is done, before you take the zipline off the platform, look to your right to spot a ladder leading down. Take this ladder to find the first basket of jam in the level.
Jam is always found in groups of four, meaning that with 32 in the level, there are only 8 baskets, giving you 4/32 Jam. While you’re here, enter your scenting mode and interact with the basket to learn the scent for Blackberry, Scent 2/3.
Climb back up the ladder to take the zipline down.
You will be given a prompt, teaching you how to dismount a zipline early. Do this to land on a s*rip of land in the water, on which you will find your second Jam basket, on the raised section, giving you 8/32 Jam
From here, jump across to make it onto the shore. This level is the most open in the game, so I will be giving a direct route to the various collectibles scattered around.
From where you came ashore, turn left and follow the path around the water all the way up to the gate to the Lookout. Continue a bit further to the small doorway in the rocks.
You will see a lone lantern sitting on a rock near the door. Interact with it to find Lore 1/15 Porridge Feast
From here turn around to head back down the hill. A bit past the large gate there is a small s*rip of land leading off the path. Follow it to find Jam 12/32 in the treeline.
Follow the path back down to the big tent. Directly outside the tent is the mailbox, interact with it to find 7 pieces of Lore, then head inside to grab Lore 9/15 Recipe: Roasted Carrot and Mushroom Soup on the table in the main room.
Outside of the tent walk over to the area with the cauldron. On a small table next to the cauldron is Lore 10/15 Recipe: Hotroot Soup, and a short distance away is Lore 11/15 Recipe: Onion Potato Soup on the dining table.
After this grab Jam 16/32 next to Captain Robin, doing so will prompt a short dialogue as he explains that you should keep your eye out for more.
This is a good place to mention, for the Critters section of your totals, you will need to speak to each character that appears in the game. When you first talk to anyone near the Cauldron there will be a short conversation involving the three characters present. This does not count toward your totals. In order to have them count, you will need to speak to each of them after this. As long as you reach a point with each one where you are given dialogue options then it will count.
From here look back towards the rock face to see a glowing spot in the rocks. This is a space you can burrow through. Do so to end up at the hot springs area.
Here, keep to the left as you make your way around the springs to find a basket between the trees, giving Jam 20/32
Continue around the water to the structure in the back to find Lore 12/15 Survival Tip on the table.
Return to the main level, and from where the cauldron in cross the wooden bridge, and head up the hill to the obstacle course. Walk to the small shooting gallery, and look across the water behind it to spot Jam 24/32
While you are completing the obstacle course be sure to pick up the scent for Corn, Scent 3/3
Head back down from the course and continue left around the water.
Check inside the tent next to Tussa for Lore 13/15 Mail: Letter to Coyle, then continue a short distance and grab Lore 14/15 Recipe: Southsward Shrimp Stew in the tent next to the wayglass point
From here, take the winding path behind the Watchtower to the main gate where you will find Jam 28/32.
Follow the path back down and climb the Watchtower for Lore 15/15 Letter to Tussa.
From the watchtower base, climb the small set of stairs to the outhouse. Stuck to the back of the structure you will find the level’s Riddle, which is a drawing of a stone structure of some kind, and the word ‘Feldspar’
Continue past the outhouse, along another set of stairs. Around the bend in this wooden path you will find the final basket for Jam 32/32.

As the level begins, you will notice you already have 2 of the 4 scents for the level, walk forward a bit to learn the scent for Lilac, Scent 3/4
After distracting the two rats near the beginning, grab Lore 1/7 Intel from Swingpaw off of the crate.
At the end of this patch of bushes you will see a basket across the road. Turn and distract the rats with the second bell to grab Jam 4/32
Continue through the level until you reach the end of the fenced in area full of hay bales. Here, turn around and distract the rat with the bell on the front of the farmhouse. Climb the boxes to the roof to find a wayglass point.
There are 4 Points of interest to find here:
A burning home, across a bridge back the way you came
A cart of food, in the fenced in area below
The lighthouse, directly across from the roof you are on
The aftermath of the rat attack, at the end of the road
After finding these four, your wayglass will be upgraded to Silver.
Before continuing on, walk off the opposite side of the roof to find Jam 8/32 and Jam 12/32
Return to the area you exited the fenced in area. In the back of this area you will find a stump between two bushes. On this stump is Lore 2/7 Beauty Tips.
After scurrying through the fence, before crossing the bridge, scurry through the fence on the opposite side of the road where you will find Jam 16/32 in the structure.
Return to the road and cross the bridge.
On the other side of the bridge you will find a mailbox containing 2 pieces of Lore.
Past the mailbox approach the outhouse to find Lore 5/7 Intel from Sparrowblade
Directly across from the outhouse you will spot a cart. Underneath this cart you will find Jam 20/32
With this, you have found half of the jam for the act, and you will find a Silver Scouts Jacket in the basket with the Jam.
A short distance from here is a wayglass point. Interact with it to find three more Points of Interest:
The graveyard, just up the road
The rats, near the burning structure
Friar Thomas’s House, just across the water
From here continue on, saving the farmhouse, and find the final wayglass point of the level on a table outside. There is one final point of interest:
The Church, up the road on the hill
After exiting the wayglass, you will find Jam 24/32 on the riverbank.
Back across the bridge search around the cart near the gate to the graveyard where you will find Lore 6/7 Foxglove’s Diary
Before opening the gate, head slightly to the right to learn the scent for Pumpkin, Scent 4/4
Open the gate, and use the bell and logs to incapacitate the three rats in the area. Once they are down you will be able to grab:
Lore 7/7 Intel from Whiprider
Continue on through the graveyard, up the hill and to the church. In the section of graves to the right of the building, you will find a pillar with Feldspar written on it, which you will recall was Riddle #1. Enter scenting mode, and interact with this grave to collect the level’s riddle.
From here, walk back to the ruined party and find Jam 32/32 behind a tree.

Once again, you will start the level with 2/4 scents learned. From the beginning of the level continue as normal through the hole in the wall.
As soon as you exit the hole, hug the right wall to find Jam 4/32
Carefully make your way across the roofbeams to the opposite corner of the room.
Drop down onto the bookshelf here to find Lore 1/15 Recipe: Stuffed Date Honey Bake
Drop down from the bookshelf, and turn around to spot Jam 8/32
Make your way back across the room, underneath where you entered to find Lore 2/15 Greater Inheritance?
Continue through the level, past the first refugee, until you reach the first rat guard. After you incapacitate him, there are several things to collect in this room.
Behind some crates near the left entrance is Jam 12/32
On a table by the same door is Lore 3/15 Recipe: October Ale
In a nook in the back of the room is Lore 4/15 Tavern Inventory
In front of the small furnace is Lore 5/15 Singed Love Letter
Continue on, and behind the next refugee crawl through the boarded door to find two more pieces of Lore:
Lore 6/15 Mail Letter to Mommy
Lore 7/15 Recipe Dibbuns Grape
After continuing on and taking care of the next guard there are, once again, several things to colect in this room:
Behind the left door you can pick up Ale, Scent 3/4
In the back of the room, slightly behind some boxes, is Jam 16/32
Directly next to the Jam is Lore 8/15 Dibbuns Declaration
After crawling under the next door and encountering the final refugee, open the shutters to the left to reveal Jam, 20/32
Unlock the next door to find the only wayglass point in the level. There are five points of interest here:
The badger statue, along the right of the level you are on
The rock in the window, two levels directly above the statue
the angel statues, on the level between the rock and statue, to the left
The opening at the top of the cavern
The structure in the center of the cavern
From here scurry under the door, and find Jam 24/32 in the outcropping to the right.
After sneaking along the ledge, you have another rat to take care of. Once that is done, there are again goodies to collect:
Inside the boarded door is Lore 9/15 Recipe: Two Ways to Cheese
Behind a table from this door you will find Jam 28/32
From here, continue along the back wall to find a jug in the opposite corner. Enter scenting mode to find the level’s Riddle
From the riddle, climb the stack of crates to the top of a nearby shelf to find the confusingly named Lore 10/15 Riddle
Before unlocking the next door don’t miss the mailbox in the corner containing 4 pieces of Lore, giving you 14/15
After unlocking the door, check the center balcony to find Jam 32/32
After this enter the door to the final area.
NOTE: Once you enter this door, you cannot return to the rest of the level. Make sure you have collected everything up to this point.
In this room, head to the tables to your left to find Lore 15/15 Recipe: Butter
Near the center of the room is a group of barrels, walk to the back to learn Garlic, Scent 4/4

- Points of Interest: 1
The Wearet is the shortest level in the game, and also where you will finish gathering all the collectibles, as the final level, The Lighthouse, is an auto-scroller with nothing to collect.
You will once again start with a scent already learned. After a short conversation, crawl through the grating ahead of you.
You will see Lore 1/3 Fishing Tips, in the corner as you scurry through.
Just past this is a spot on the left wall you can burrow through. Do so to be presented with a small room containing a large chest.
This chest is the final Riddle. Interact with it to be prompted to enter a password. The answer can be sussed out by the markings on the wall throughout the level, but if you’d rather not, the solution is HOPE.
Opening the chest will allow you to take the Starthistle Amulet, an upgrade that allows you to use your scenting mode while moving. This is useful for repeat playthroughs, or for Act II
In the corner of the same room is the final Jam basket. Giving you 4/4 for the level and 100/100 for the game
With all Jam collected, you will be rewarded with the Gilded Scout’s Jacket
Continue around the corner to hear Scumsnout begin shouting orders.
Make your way to the window near the burrow spot, and Scumsnout will jump down in front of it, allowing you to learn Wearet, Scent 2/2. the final Scent in the game.
Burrow through the wall, and then through the next grating.
In the next section, approach the window to find 2 pieces of Lore, giving you 3/3 for the level, and 40/40 for the game.
From here, continue on until you reach the room where the character you didn’t choose to play as is waiting. Before speaking to them though, interact with the wayglass point in the window.
There is only one point of interest, and its hard to miss: The large owl in the center of your view. Interacting with it will give the Gilded Wayglass, the last thing to collect in the game.
That’s it! With this you should have full tick marks on your totals screen and all upgrades within Lost Legends of Redwall: The Scout Act I.
I found resources for the game to be pretty hard to come by, or out of date, so I hope this was able to help you.
