You will love Trails from Zero's soundtrack, but it is difficult to enjoy it without the text-beeping sound. It plays whenever there is dialogue. There isn't a way to disable this in the game's settings as in past Trails games. Until NISA adds one it will be necessary to manually alter two files.
It's simple.
How to do this
1 – Find the location of the game's install
Right-click the game on Steam, click Manage, then click Browse Local Files
2 – First, open the data_pc directory. Next, open the se folder
3 – Locate files ed7se005.opus–ed7se000.opus. Rename them to something else. (eg. add dashes the names)
ed7se000 indicates that text scrolls within a dialogue box, while ed7se005 indicates that the dialogue is being advanced by pressing a button.
4 – Restart your game if it is still running.
The same instructions apply to playing the game on Steam Deck. Launch Steam from Desktop Mode. Follow these instructions to play the game.
