How to complete 11 new achievements added in the 1.4.4 Labour of Love Update.
 

An Eye for An Eye

 
"Defeat Deerclops. The cold, one-eyed monstrosity hailing from a foreign land."
 
 
Deerclops can be defeated to get this achievement. The boss can be summoned by nature, but it requires a Blizzard to activate at midnight. At least one player must have either 9 defense or 100 health. It is easier than crafting a Deer Thing which can summon Deerclops in a Snow Biome.
 
 
A Deer Thing can also be made using 3xFlinx Fur, 1xLens, 5xDemonite/Crimtane Ore
 
 
 

Feast of Midas

 
"Get Golden Delight, the highest-quality meal made from the best quality ingredients. . . ingredients."
 
 
To achieve this feat, you will need to create a Golden Delight. You can do this by using a cooking pot with a Gold Worm.
 
 
It is possible to obtain this achievement by using Journey mode. Continue to open the duplicated item until you receive a Gold Worm.
 
 
 

Unusual Survival Strategies

 
"Delay death by drinking water. It doesn’t make any sense, but it was what you had to do.
 
 
To achieve this feat, you will need to obtain a Bottle of Water while taking damage to drowning.
 
 
 

Black Mirror

 
"Get the cell phone. It's the only thing you will ever need.
 
 
This achievement can be unlocked by having a Cell PhoneA in your inventory. If not, you will need one.
 
 
The Cell Phone has many crafting steps. You will need the following base items:
 
 

• Gold/Platinum Watch
• Depth Meter
• Compass
• Radar
• Tally Counter
• Lifeform Analyser
• DPS Meter
• Stopwatch
• Metal Detector
• The Pocket Guide for Fishermen
• Weather Radio
• Sextant
• Magic/Ice Mirror

 
 
These will then be combined at Tinkerer's Workshop into a GPS. A R.E.K. 3000 and aGoblin Tech. These four items can all be combined into a 24-A29417598A. Then, you will craft it with the 24-A29416564A. To get the Cell Phone.
 
 
 

Ankhumulation Complete

 
"Ask for Ankh Shield to get the best protection from all types of ill health and diseases."
 
 
This achievement is the same as Black Mirror, but with the Ankh Shield. If you already have this item in your inventory, it will automatically unlock. You will need to craft it if you don’t have one.
 
 
You will also find a large crafting branch in the Ankh Shield.
 
 

• Obsidian Skull
• Cobalt Shield
• Blindfold
• Vitamins
• Polish Armour
• Adhesive Bandage
• Bezoar
• Nazar
• Megaphone
• Trifold Map
• Fast Clock

 
 
These can then be combined in pairs to make the following: an Obsidian Shield; an Armour Bracing; and a Medicated Bandage. These four are combined with the Blindfold to create the Ankh Charm. This is then combined with theObsidian Shield to make the Obsidian Shield.
 
 
 

Torch God

 
"Invoked God of Torches' wrath, and survived long enough for it to bless me."
 
 
This achievement is achieved by having consumed Torch God's Favour. It will automatically unlock if this has been done before.
 
 
To receive the Torch God's Favour, one must survive the Torch God event. This is achieved by placing at minimum 101 torches in close proximity to each other in either the Underground, Cavern or both layers. The event will not start if the Surface layer is present. It will help this event a lot to have a small arena.
 
 
 

Rare Realm

 
"Some very rare seeds can lead to exceptional and rewarding experiences. Are you able to find one?
 
 
You can achieve this achievement by simply entering any world that has been created using one of the secret seed. These seeds should be put in the seedbox when creating a new world.

The Great Slime Mitosis

 
"Find all the slime pets and have them move into!"
 
 
This achievement requires that you have all 8 town slimes. Each one requires different requirements to move in. They are all shown here.
 
 
The Lifeform Analyser is a handy accessory for finding the Clumsy Slime (Old Shaking Chest), and the Mystic frog. I also recommend the Guide To Critter Companionship to prevent you accidentally killing the Mystic Frog.
 
 

• Cool Slime – Can move in when there's an active Party.
• Clumsy slime – Can be found floating on a windy day with a balloon in Space Layer.
• Surly Slime can be fished up during a Blood Moon.
• Nerdy Slime – Moves in after killing King Slime.
• Elder Slime: Moves in after unlocking an old Shaking Chest in Cavern Layer with the Golden Key.
• Diva Slime – Moves into Shimmer after throwing a Sparkle Slime Balloon.
• Mystic Slime: Moves in after using Purification Powder for a Mystic Frog.
• Squire Slime: Moves in after dropping the Copper Helmet on a Slime.

 
 
 

A Shimmer in The Dark

 
"Shimmer an item into a different item. What other transmutations might you be able to find?
 
 
You will need to drop a Clentaminator to Shimmer to achieve this achievement. This fluid was added to the game as an update. After it cools, it will become the Terraformer. This will give you the achievement.
 
 
Shimmer is naturally generated in 1.4.4 worlds underground in swimming pools. It can also be made by combining 10xLuminite Bars + 1xBottomless Water Bucket. As a reward for completing Angler Quests it can be obtained at Bottomless Water Bucket. There is a 1/70 probability that it will drop after the tenth quest.

"Completely purify every Corruption, Crimson, or Hallow from your World, until the Dryad has satisfied!"
 
 
You must talk to the dryad within a world free of Corruption, Crimson or Hallow in order to achieve this achievement. The Dryad will take one in-game day to notice the changes. This means that you might not get it immediately if you've just cleansed the world.
 
 
This achievement can be completed in three easy steps: Create a small world, defeat one boss, build a house that the Dryad can move into, then remove the evil biome. You can clean the evil biome with a Clentaminator, or the newly added Terraformer and Green Solution.
 
 
 

To Infinity… And Beyond!

 
"Fly a Kwad Racer in outer space."
 
 
You can achieve this feat by purchasing a Kwad Racer Drone as well as a FPV Goggles Cyborg. After defeating Plantera, who will go in? You can then equip the FPV Goggles with the Kwad Racer Drone and fly it as high as possible.
 
 
This might not work on large planets at the moment. If you are having trouble, try it on another large world.
