ALIGNMENT

Alignment between the different factions.

It may help some players find potential allies who pursue similar goals.

THE RESISTANCE

• Protect humanity by resisting the invasion of aliens. To mount a coordinated defense, a group of nations should form an alliance.
• Humanity First is a less extreme version.

 

THE SERVANTS [Submit]

• Support the aliens, worship them and believe that they will solve all your problems
• It’s easier to avoid fighting aliens

 

THE INITIATIVE [Exploit]

• Profit from the chaos and destruction that result from the alien’s arrival to gain power
• They are neither friends nor foes of the Aliens. Probably the most neutral faction.

 

PROJECT EXODUS [Escape]

• Escape the aliens with a massive starship.

 

THE ACADEMY (Cooperate)

• Convince the aliens to accept you as equal and form an interstellar partnership
• This seems like a straightforward start due to the huge public opinion boost in many countries. But it’s not. Spoiler: An event occurs relatively early that puts many of your control points on lockdown mode for a year

 

HUMANITY FIRST [Destroy]

• Together with all those who sympathize, exterminate the aliens

 

THE PROTECTORATE [Appease]

• Protect humanity by advocating negotiated submission as the only way to prevent annihilation
• The Servants: A Less Extreme Version
