Tips and Tricks for Steam Engine Simulator – How to Adjust Refresh Rate and Settings
Introduction
A simple method of boiling water
A smaller volume of water will typically require less time to heat than a larger volume. This is because of the lower proportion of mass to heat. It takes less time to heat a smaller amount of liquid due to less mass.
Desktop Setting
Refresh Rate
Adjust your Refresh Rate to 20-50.
Select Refresh Rate in Windows 11 by going to System > Display > Advanced display. The minimum rate available is 50.
In addition, by making use of third-party software you could be able to achieve even lower refresh rates.
Task Manager
Start the Task Manager, and then locate “atg-steam”.
Click on “atg Steam” and then select Efficiency mode.
Click on “atg steam” and choose “Go to Details”.
Right-click “atg” again in the details tab, and select “Set affinity”.
Set affinity to use only one core.
Steam Engine Setup
Annoy ATG
Disengage the brake – 0 percent
Set the temperature to 100%.
Switch off the relief valves
The throttle valve is set between 37% to 45%.
Press the Up Arrow and then press alt+tab.
Bake a cake
Select the water fill icon and add an amount of water. Alt-Tab is only available when the PSI has reached 250%. PSI resets when the temperature drops below 110degC. It is necessary to restart the process.
