Video demonstration of this strategy is available on https://youtu.be/ibaFlS1JICg – [youtu.be]

Introduction

This is a very easy strategy where in every game players have to do mainly one thing reputedly until win without doing much thinking. This strategy guide will help new players to win Spirit Island with Lightning Swift Strike Spirit in base difficulty on any balanced map. This strategy mainly uses the default cards, innate power and is not dependent on the text of new power cards, so it will work in all situations.

After practicing this step by step guide, players can bring change in gameplay when trying higher difficulty and improve themselves.

This strategy guide is meant for new players but here experienced players can also discover a fixed way of solving highly variable Spirit Island game.

Goal

The main goal is to unlock 4 energy gains as soon as possible, also unlock three cards play, then unlock five cards play. When gaining new cards, pick only minor cards which have fire element, so can afford playing 5 cards to activate most innate powers repeatedly on consecutive turns and likely win in seven-eight turns. During the game Spirit Presence will be placed to create two main “Sacred Sites” for using “Shatter Homesteads” card and “Innate” to target any land to destroy towns-cities and generate lots of fear and achieve higher terror levels for making winning conditions easier.

Step By Step Detail Gameplay Walkthrough

Turn 1

Growth: Choose middle growth option & add 2 Presence from top “energy gain” track.

With those 2 new Spirit Presences make a new “Sacred Site” 2 land away from the first “Sacred Site”. The new “Sacred Site” should be adjacent to all lands which were not adjacent to the first “Sacred Site”.

Sacred Site Note: We need only two “Sacred Sites” in this game, together those two “Sacred Sites” will be adjacent to all lands. So we can use our “Innate Power” (which has one land range) to target any land from these “Sacred Sites”. We will put Spirit Presences on lands in a way that two main “Sacred Sites” are safe.

Cards Play (1 Card):

Shatter Homesteads (Play as slow): Choose one of the two lands just built town and destroy a town so on next turn when both lands will ravage one of them do not add Blight. The other one will add Blight. When choosing a land to destroy town, also consider saving Spirit Presence and Dahan in addition to not adding Blight.

Turn 2

Growth: Choose middle growth option & add 2 Presence from top “energy gain” track.

With those two new Spirit Presences make a new “Sacred Site” which are adjacent to most lands and also safe from potential destruction. Or can strengthen already existing “Sacred Sites” by putting more tokens on top of them.

Cards Play (2 Cards):

Harbingers of the Lightning (Play as Fast or Slow): Play as fast if you want to save Dahan from damage of ravage now. Play as slow if you want to save Dahan from damage of ravage next turn or want to set them up for fightback. When pushing Dahan at fast or slow, also try to earn fear by sending them to land with town or city.

Raging Storm (Play as Fast): Target a land which is supposed to build and only has explorers. Destroy all explorers so no build can happen. When choosing a land to prevent build, also consider saving Spirit Presence and Dahan from damage of ravage on next turn.

Turn 3

Growth: Choose the middle growth option, add 1 Presence from “energy gain” track (4 Energy/Turn) and 1 Presence from “card play” track (3 Cards/Turn). Put 2 Spirit Presences on two main “Sacred Sites”.

Cards Play (0 Card): Do not play any cards.

Turn 4

Growth: Choose left growth option. Reclaim cards and gain a new minor card.

Gain Card Note: When gaining new power cards in this game, players need to pick a card which has a fire, air and water element. If no cards have those, players need to pick a card which has a fire and air element. If no cards have those, players need to pick a card which has a fire element. In rare situations if no cards have a fire element, players need to pick a card which is best in that situation but very likely that card will not be used in this game.

Cards Play (3 Cards):

Lightning’s Boon (Fast): Play this card to target self and make slow cards and slow innate fast for meaningful benefit like saving from adding Blight, destroying Spirit Presence, killing dahan from ravage or building town instead of city. If no meaningful benefit happens by making innate and card fast, then instead of this card can play “Harbingers of the Lightning” card to save Dahan from dying or push Dahan to generate fear.

Raging Storm (Play as Fast): Target a land to prevent build to save it from adding Blight at time of ravage on next turn. When choosing a land to prevent build, also consider saving Spirit Presence and Dahan from damage of ravage on next turn.

Shatter Homesteads (Play as Fast or Slow): Target a land and play it fast to save from adding Blight by ravage this turn or play it slow to save from adding Blight by next turn’s ravage. When choosing a land, also consider saving Spirit Presence and Dahan from damage by ravage.

Innate (Play as Fast): Target a land where can do maximum damage and also save from adding Blight.

Turn 5

Growth: Choose the middle growth option, add 2 Presence from “card play” track (5 Cards/Turn). Put 2 Spirit Presences on two main “Sacred Sites”.

Cards Play (2 cards):

Play both remaining cards and get as much benefit as possible based on the situation. Will not be able to activate innate on this turn.

Turn 6

Growth: Choose left growth option. Reclaim cards and gain a new minor card with a fire element. It is better if the new card also has element of air or water or both. If none of the offered cards at the time of picking have a fire element, player picks a card based on the current situation but that card may not be used in this game.

Cards Play (5 Cards): Play all cards from hand except one. Choose cards so you can activate maximum innate power if there is a land which can take all damages. Most of the time on this turn will play all 4 default cards and one of the new minor cards.

Lightning’s Boon (Fast): Make another slow card and the innate fast.

Innate (Play as Fast): Choose a land where it can give maximum damage.

Shatter Homesteads (Play as Fast): Use in a land to save from adding Blight or Building city

Raging Storm (Play as Fast): Save a land from build or adding Blight.

Harbingers of the Lightning (Play as Slow): Most likely play it as slow and generate fear.

Minor Card: Use a card with a fire element and use it’s power based on the situation.

Turn 7+

Keep repeating “Turn 6” every turn from now on until you win. Can also get major cards now if have enough energy to play maximum hand limit including major cards energy cost. It is expected to win by turn 7 or 8 most of the time with this strategy. Good luck.
