A simple guide on how to download files from MediaFire without getting any popups. Seriously, it’s literally just a few steps.
What is MediaFire?
MediaFire is a simple file-sharing site. You upload a file for others to download. Upon downloading the file, however, some idiot at the company decided to make a pop-up window appear shortly after you click.
Actually downloading files without getting a popup
Step 1. Locate your desired file on the Workshop.
Step 2. Go to the description and open the MediaFire link.
Step 3. Middle-click the big, blue Download button.
Step 4. It’s downloaded!
Can’t follow the instructions due to how your mouse works?
Instead of using your middle-click button, you can also right-click the Download button and open the file in a new tab. (Note: Most keyboards support the right-click button as well. It should be next to your right Control button. Pressing that while hovering your mouse over the Download button will suffice.)
You should then get a context menu similar to this. Click “Open link in new tab”.
If you don’t have a mouse (why are you using SFM if this is the case?), you can just spam the Tab key until the button is highlighted. Then, you can hit the Right Click button on your keyboard.
