Tentative Build Recomendation

Skills:
Alternate ‘Regeneration’ & ‘Athletic’,
Starting with Regeneration.

Stats:
Alternate ‘Vitality’ & ‘Agility’,
Starting with Vitality.

Stats & Skillz

Garbage stats and skills. Never buy:

  • Strength. Literally doesn’t do anything as far as I can tell.
  • Fast Learning. Literally doesn’t do anything as far as I can tell.
  • Painful Scream. At least the game tells you that this doesn’t do anything.
  • Constitution. 15HP per lvl. Not really worth imo.

Maybe?

  • Ignore pain. Getting stunned is a ♥♥♥♥♥ in this game. Similar idea to poise in Dark Sulz. This skill would be really useful if it worked more reliably.

The Good ♥♥♥♥

  • Vitality. You will die early on without this. Getting it for first level when starting a new char seems to help. Each point in Vitality gives you 30 health.
  • Regeneration. See above. Getting 2 points for first level on a new char seems to help.
  • Agility. Without this you stop attacking, and can’t dodge roll or run away. So yea, not really optional.
  • Athletic. See above.

Bad early game, Good late game,

  • Hardened Skin. +10% Defence per level.

Your Pet Succubi

  • Don’t bother giving her the frost spell. She won’t use it very often or very sensibly.
  • Putting her first level up into Vitality and Regeneration seems to help (1 point Vit, 2 points Regen). Same as for player char.
  • She will use the heal spell, but starting mana is so low, and mana regen is so slow, that maxing out regeneration first seems like the way to go to me, and you won’t have to cross your fingers and hope she is actually smart enough to cast heal at a sensible time.

Early Lvl-ing

The skeletons are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier than the ‘Draugr’

Go for the wandering skelly armies early on to get your first few level ups.

Buy some armour from the shop early on.
Sell your underwear if you have to.

Health potions are very useful early game.
Buy some from the shop If you have anything left after getting some armour.
If you can’t afford any armour, just spend it all on health pots.

Pro-Tips

Set up a macro to spam the main attack by holding down the button. RSI is not fun.

Keys

Keep them if you find them, but don’t bother buying them

  • Silver keys – They only cost 50g, but I often get something like 6g and a mana potion from silver key chests. Mana pots sell for 12g. Not really worth it.
  • Gold keys – Same situation as above, but more so. No way is it worth spending all that G for that lucky dip.

Kombat

Try to kite a few enemies away from the group. Don’t rush in and die like a numpty.
Bigger weapons are better if you can get them. Having more reach means you take less damage.

Weapons

Speed > Damage > Elemental Effect

Most important thing is speed.
Use the fastest weapon you have.
If you have 2 weapons with the same speed, pick the one with the most damage.
If you have 2 weapons with the same speed and damage, pick the one with the elemental effect.

It doesn’t seem to matter which elemental effect, since there doesn’t seem to be any special effects like slow stun or damage over time, just a bit of extra damage. As far as I can tell there is some sort of elemental damage/resistance system in play. If enemies have any resistances, we can’t see what they are since the game doesn’t tell you, so don’t worry about it. I just assume than an elemental effect is better than no elemental effect and leave it at that.

  1. Hey….so where are the basics? Like what are the two bars at the bottom and all the globes?
Everyone seems to assume you know what those are….how would I know what those are?
You say larger is better, then you say faster is better…doesn’t large mean slow?
    Thanks for any help.
