Scott Pilgrim is now available for purchase on Steam. This guide will a*sist you in navigating the issues that Ubi has created.

Playing with a controller

As the controller is advertised on the website, it should be very easy to use.

Ubi chose the wrong default controller system. This is how you fix the problem:

On desktop:

1. Shift+Tab for Steam Overlay
2. Click on Controller Configuration
3. Continue to Step 3 in the Big Picture segment.

On Big Picture Mode (The new one):

1. Navigate to the Controller settings
2. Click on “Controller Settings”.
3. Click on “Current Layout (” to see layout)
4. Navigate to the templates section and select the gamepad you want.
5. You will get something similar to this when you are done.

Now, your controller should be working as intended

Playing on Deck

Steam Deck may not allow you to play this game.

Here’s the steps:

1. Navigate to the desired game and click on it
2. Select the gear icon from the right
3. Navigate and choose properties
4. Navigate to Compatibility
5. Toggle the “Force use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool” toggle
6. Select Proton 7.0-X I used 7.0-5 when I wrote this)
7. Start the game
8. Sign into UbiSoftConnect Tip : Steam+X is a good option to open the virtual keyboard).

Steam Deck should now be able to run your game

Online gambling

There are two ways you can play online. So I’m dividing it into 2 segments.

Online gaming:

Playing the game is easy with random people. Go to network game and create/join random public lobby.

Here’s how to play with your friends.

1. Add your friends and family to your UbiSoftConnect friends list.
2. Go to “NETWORK GO”
3. Make a private match to select your character
4. Please navigate to the stage and select it
5. Press the “INVITE FRIES” button
6. If it says “You have to be in multiplayer game session to send an invite”, close it and navigate back into the home menu.

Steam Remote Play:

Although it is advertised on Steam Store’s page, This method does not work. From my experience.

The other player is just silently waiting for the other player’s return to the game, or something similar.

UbiSoft’s share play function doesn’t work either. It just throws an exception.

There is no known fix. However, Steam believes that UbiSoft connect is the instance. Let me know if you have a better experience or a solution.

Backup of your savings

Yes, this game doesn’t sync saves.

Navigate to C.Users[Username]Saved GamesScott and back it up where you need it.

(Google drive supports you to sync folders, could be used by that)

How to deal effectively with known bugs

Unable/unable to enter/interact doors

Sometimes you can’t get in a door or interact directly with something. That is my favorite feature! !

All you need to do is to throw an object against yourself and it will fix itself.

(They sit at the edge of a level or ask a friend.)

Desyncs

The game may not sync properly at times if remote play is enabled.

There is no real solution. Just restart your network session, or re-enter a level.

The controller randomly not working

This may happen and I don’t know the reason.

Health not showing

To fix it, visit a shop.

(Or, be a chad!)

Game volume quiet

I’m not sure why UbiSoft wouldn’t allow us to listen to this incredible soundtrack.

Turn up the tv/headset if you can’t.

They mixed it poorly and it is fine on consoles.

You can check out the band’s YouTube channel. They have some really great tracks, and it is worth a look.

Achievements not working

I’m not sure, UbiSoft did something wrong with their own app and didn’t want Steam achievements.

Tips

• close UbiSoft Connect. is the result of quitting the game.It might randomly appear after a while and tell you it’s signed-out, thereby focusing your attention on what you were doing.

  (I lost a ranked online race by driving at full speed into the wall. Thank you UbiSoft, very cool!)

  

• If you plan on playing this on a trip/on board, launch the game with an Internet connection at least five days prior. Denuvo will stop you from playing this game you
