A guide to the secret boss character.
Foreword
This guide is currently up to Version 2.1d. Any changes from future versions aren’t accounted for.
Also, this character is the secret final boss. Anyone who wishes to avoid spoilers, turn back now. I’ll give you some space to do it before we get into full spoiler territory.
Introduction to Dimcyber
Dimcyber is the secret boss and final secret character that isn’t mentioned in the Characters section, nor does he appear anywhere in or on the manual. He is a powered-up version of Maxcyber, although his moveset is more unique due to using a giant axe instead of copying other characters. Although the rest of his stats are the same, his jump speed is a bit faster.
Dimcyber’s Moves
This section will go over all of Dimcyber’s attacks. (Hitboxes from Foxy Boxy Games’s official site)
Dimcyber’s Light Attacks
Ground lights are the same as Maxcyber’s except even more powerful. As such, they have one more active frame than most.
Jumping Light has quite good range and damage for an air-to-air.
Dimcyber’s Heavy Attacks
Standing Heavy comes out pretty late (frame 14), but it’s plus on block and does big damage on hit.
Crouching Heavy is quite slow, but it’s Dimcyber’s fastest meterless knockdown.
Jumping Heavy hits twice, and it can actually juggle. It comes out very fast, on frame 6, so it’s pretty much unreactable.
Command Heavy is a more powerful version of Maxcyber’s, but it’s still mainly a combo tool
Dimcyber’s Grab
It’s an overall great grab.
Dim Wave (Down, Back)
This is a very tall projectile. It has much more recovery than any other projectiles in the game, but the Overdrive version shoots two waves in a row, so that’s neat.
Dim Hacker (Down, Back)
A weaker version of Maxcyber’s super. It’s still a fearsome anti-air, although not as fearsome.
Dim Whirlwind (Back, Down, Back)
A wide get-off-me tool. The heavy version is incredibly thin, and the Overdrive version hits twice.
Super Dim Blast (Down, Forward, Down, Forward, A+B/Select)
This super spits 15 short range projectiles out of the tip of Dimcyber’s axe in random directions. It’s not very good due to the luck aspect, but sometimes you can do silly things with it. It also has a whopping 84 frames of complete invincibility.
Dimcyber’s Combos
(Please feel free to recommend combos so that I can add them to the list.)
Here’s some of the best combos I could find.
Jumping Heavy->Standing Heavy->Dim Hacker (Heavy)
A simple 250 damage combo.
Throw->Super Dim Blast
This corner combo is a meme on the best of days. Sometimes you’ll get massive damage off of it, sometimes you won’t.
Afterword
Dimcyber is a fun character who feels like a big boss guy. Just be careful about his big frailness.
