since some update (at somepoint in 2020) depending on your system/ graphics card you might of noticed that portal 2s lighting is way way too flat/static
intro
on my pc running an AMD rx 580 (ik its an old card) projected textures are broken
projected textures are used to make alot of the games lighting as they give off a nice looking shadow
apparently this effects AMD cards running the current drivers however some people i have spoken too say they dont get this problem at all or see it on nvidia cards aswell
the fix
add -vulkan to your launch options or play the game on linux
why this fixes it idk
