How to fix the error:

 
Step 1 
Locate the directory in which you downloaded steam (its most commonly C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam). 
 
Step 2 
Once you have found where you’ve downloaded steam, locate the Steam.dll file. Once found, copy it (either by right clicking it and pressing copy, or selecting it and hitting Ctrl + C on your keyboard). 
 
Step 3 
Locate your ”steamapps” folder. Once you’ve clicked on it, click on the ”common” folder, and find the folder that says ”Plants vs Zombies” (you may have to scroll down to find it if you have a lot of games downloaded via steam). 
 
Step 4 
Paste your Steam.dll file into the ”Plants vs Zombies” folder (either by right clicking and pressing paste, or hit Ctrl + V on your keyboard).
