Does the ‘interface size’ option make the UI ridiculously large? Here’s a much better way of increasing the user interface size!

Preliminary Notes

This just increases the size of a lot of the really small UI elements. To increase the font please go to the ‘Supplementary Guides’ section, and use that guide 🙂

Additionally, the changes will only take place after starting a new game. This will not work on existing saves!

I’ll probably edit, reformat and/or add some more things to this guide, so if there’s something you don’t like; please let me know! I’m open to constructive feedback.

Larger User Interface

• 

  In the main menu, click on ‘Check Online Content’

• 

  Search for ‘OpenGFX+ BigGUI’

• 

  Select it in the left panel. Be sure to click the checkbox left of the mod’s name. Then click ‘Download’ in the bottom right.

• 

  Return to the main menu, and click on ‘NewGRF Settings’

• 

  In the ‘Inactive NewGRF files’ box, select ‘OpenGFX BigGUI’ and then click ‘Add’

• 

  You should see the mod move up and into the ‘Active NewGRF files’ box. Now, in the bottom right, click ‘Apply changes’

And you’re done!
