Just a little mostly spoiler-free list of the achievements in the game and how to get them.

Story related

These achievements are automatically unlocked by progressing in the game.

Herbicidal tendencies

Get rid of the carnivorous plant.

Clever clogs

Assemble a Leyden Jar.

Snake? Snake?

Create a replacement metal gear.

Scary fishing

Retrieve an item from a pool of darkness.

Boom goes the dynamite!

Detonate a cave-in.

Missable achievements

Respect mah authoritah!

Never leave a room without a hall pass.

In the beginning of the game you are given a hall pass. Just make sure you never leave a room without the hall pass in your inventory. It doesn’t matter if you drop it accidentally or on purpose, just make sure to pick it up again before leaving the room.

Taker of things

Pick up every item in the game at least once.

This sounds more difficult than it is, most of the items in the game are story related and you will pick them up because you need them somewhere in the game to progress. There are a few items that are not needed to finish the game and they are;

• Rubbish

  (found on the bottom of the room to the right of the first warp mirror)

• Sharp Glass

  (found next to the dumpster)

• Nail Clippers

  (found in the room with the drawbridge)

• Skull

  (found in the dungeon, in the room directly following after descending the long stairs)

• Pile of Bones

  (found in the dungeon, in the room going down after riding the worm, it’s also the room before the Professor Sinclair warp mirror)

• Clump of Grass

  (found in the room with spiders and ghosts entering the forest, you literally walk over it, so hard to miss)

• Pine Cone

  (found in the room after the Clump of Grass, watch out for the raccoon while trying to pick it up!)

• Glowing Amulet

  (found as a drop from the mysterious girl enemy in the cavern to the left of the cavern warp mirror)

Just make sure to pick up these items sometime when you see them. You will also need most of them for the next achievement anyway.

Environmentalist

Discard all the fluff items

In the west of the map there will be a dumpster with flies flying around (you will pass it progressing in the game for certain), and you can throw a few items in it to clean up the castle a little. The items you have to throw in there for the achievement are;

Rubbish

Sharp Glass

Skull

Pile of Bones

Clump of Grass

Pine Cone

Thundercat is go!

Get zapped by a kitteh.

You will meet a cat exploring the castle. Talk to the kitty and then once again to get a little zapped. (Can’t resist the cuteness! Must pet kitten!)

Heart of gold

Give the lizard its home back.

At one point in the game you will steal a lizard’s box. When you’re done with the box, return it to the lizard somewhere before the ending of the game for the achievement.

The more you know!

Find the first piece of lore.

There are 8 lore pieces in the game in total, most of them are not very difficult to find. You might need a dash or double jump or more to get to them however.

Library

Room with Romana

Dungeon room with giant rats

Forest room with the bear with the hat

Underwater cavern with the sharks

Rooftop above the dormitory

The highest part of the room with the dumpster and flying bats

Cavern room in the most south east of the map with the green kitty cubes (?)

I don’t even!

Travel to another world.

Somewhere when exploring the caves in the east of the map you will across an enemy that will drop a Glowing Amulet when killed. Travel a few times through the warp mirrors with the amulet in your inventory and eventually you will end up somewhere unexpected.

Endings

What did I miss?

Get the game’s “good” ending.

End the game without having found all the lore pages.

Sleepy Girl

Complete the game with the true ending.

End the game with all the lore pages found.

It is possible to obtain both endings in one playthrough. If you want to, finish the game first without all the lore pages. After the credits you can reload your save and get the last lore page(s) before ending the game again.

Speedrun

Speedrunner

Complete the game under an hour.

An excellent guide already exists for this achievement and so I will recommend reading through their guide if you want tips and tricks to tackle this game in under an hour.

Map

If you ever feel unsure about where you are or where certain items are to be found, the developer actually made a really useful map. There are obviously some spoilers if you’re looking at the map, so only use it when you don’t care about that or when you’ve already finished the game once!
