Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword Basic Guide

A) Firearms

 
In this part you will see how to use best weapon for good killing. 
For this subpart you will learn loot about firearms and how to use them. 
The best firearms in my opinion are pistols, but i personally use grenades or muskets to kill enemy. Pistols are great if you have large numbers of troops that are highly trained. 
 
Also its good to have pistols with musket. Basically you need to roll a musket, add some powder, and you can easily throw grenades at enemies. Also you can use fire am for this, basically you roll the grenade to firearm, and add fire am to fire am. That will make fire am explode, but only if the grenade explode a firearm. 
 
I use these pistols to kill some hard enemies from afar, like cavalry, archers or musketeers. Musket has good fire range, but is also not very accurate. Therefore you can use pistol. Also when you reload musket you can put firearm on the barrel and fire firearm. Some muskets have one firearm, so you can even do throw firearm as a reload. You should try to get all the info about best firearms on the internet or in book. 
 
Firearm tips: 
 
Thought, that musket has good fire range, but it is also not accurate. Usually it has not good penetration, so to kill things close to you you need to get a pistol. Most of the game is full of fire, and even if you fire first, sometimes you need to reload. Because of lack of fire accuracy, fiream tips is mostly about maximum fire time. Usually i do 10-15 shots, and i am good enough to kill at least 4 enemies in one shot. 
 
Most importantly, once you use firearm you should be focused, because you cannot reload. If you use pistol, you will be careful to reload on time, and you will be shooting well. Pistol can be used in combination with firearm, and if you can have both firearm and pistol, that will make you a very deadly person in the field. 
 
 

B) Melee weapons and Infantry tips

 
Now as you know evrythink you need about firearms, you will now learn about using melee weapons like 1 handed swords, 2 handed swords, pikes and lances. 
The best weapon for starting hero is lance because it has very good range and can prevent a character from dying, while using lace you can also outsmart enemies to make their weapon range ussless. Of course this dosen’t apply to firearms but we will talk about this later. 
Another important thing is aiming which can’t be done without a mouse. It is suggested to start new player with lance because the reload is fast, and rifles are slow. Sword can have unlimited ammo but it will be limited to 1000 bullets, pistols are limited to 6 bullets. Infantry will only use lances and bow but will not use guns, swords are basically useless for infantry. Pikemen can use swords, but they can’t use rifles. Cavalry will use swords, lances and pikes, but cannot use rifles. 
 
Guns are pretty good guns. As long as they are used by cavalry soldiers they will be best weapons and also has better range than infantry. They do have more baddges, but guns are more dangerous. Cavalry will probably start with cannons, but as long as you dont want to fight only infantry they are good enough. 
 
After using horses for first time, Infantry and Cavalry will start to use swords instead of lances. Infantry uses sword and horsemen use lance. Pikemen will always use lance because of its short range. Swords are good for infantry, lances and bow for cavalry soldiers. Every horseman needs 1 sword and lance and every infantry soldier needs 1 sword and lance. Guns will never be used by infantry and cavalry soldiers. A common story about soldiers is how they tried to reach a certain place on foot or on horse but lost or died. As mentioned earlier guns are really bad to use, even for infantry soldiers, but will stillought to be used by cavalry soldiers for hunting. Infantry will also be used for escorting military convoys which means if you see a cavalry soldier run over by a horse you will have to take him down for a mission. It is suggested to use an infantry soldier as a cannon or a cavalry soldier for a good fast ride. Horsemen can use any weapon which can reach both infantry and cavalry, like riflemen, swordmen, musketeers, cavalry, lances, swordsmen and so on. This can be dangerous and will cause all kinds of disasters. Infantry can also use swords for defense against cavalry, but this will have very little effectiveness. Infantry soldiers are pretty weak, but cavalry soldiers are strong, powerful and dangerous, but they can get killed if not used right. Horses can also be used as a weapon, if horsemen are wearing plate armor then horsemen can use lances as weapons. Infantry can usually survive being wounded, but cavalry will most likely be killed. 
 
 

3 Economy

 
The last thing you need to know in Mount & Blade: With Sword & Fire is that you dont have enough gold to buy evrythink from town shop. 
You will learn here the best ways to get money. 
 
First if you end the tutorial you will be near town, go to the guild master and ask him if he has any task for you and do this task. You will have to repeat this step untill you will have enough money, then go to the mercenary camp and get mercenaries. Afther that you must kill looters and deserters to gain renown what will allow you to join fraction. 
Remember that getting into a fraction can be sometimes very dangerous and can lead to even worse start. 
Your horse might get stolen or get away. 
In Mount and Blade: With Sword & Fire there are many types of mercenaries, you will need to know what to do to attract a certain type of mercenaries and the right ones. Here are some important things to know: 
No mercenary can be found if you do not have a horse and mount. 
Most mercenaries you will see are travelling horsemen and some have crossbows. 
If you come to a group of mercenaries and you are the only one with a horse, they will attack you. 
You can only have a horse for a few days, after that you need to buy or steal one. 
You can buy a horse for 35 gold coins and with each new horse you will need to buy or steal one. 
If you have money you can kill bandits or sell them in the black market. 
In Mount & Blade: With Sword & Fire you can buy equipment to your satisfaction. The standard sword of a soldier for example will cost 1000 gold pieces. 
If you want to learn different weapon types you have to do some killing. 
After you have learn how to use your sword you will also learn how to use a lance, a spear or a bow and some bows for longer ranged attacks. 
At the end of the tutorial you can buy different armor types, helmets, gauntlets, a belt, leggings and a pack. After this you can also buy a sword from the black market. 
If you bought a sword from the black market you need to train with it in order to use it in battle. 
First Character you will meet not only give you some advice on how to survive, it also helps you decide which path is the right one for you in this open world game.You have been playing this game for a long time now and you still dont know how to kill an enemy. 
You can do this by defeating a captain but you wont kill him the right way. First you must be him, then you must hit him in the kidney with the tip of your sword, he will drop to the ground slowly bleeding and then he will die. 
The player you killed here is no longer in the game, it is important that you don’t kill people, and when you do kill them you should do it the correct way. 
After you have killed another person you can use that body as a decoy to get in range to kill someone else. 
If you have trouble getting money you can try selling things in the black market or look in the resource area on your map and sell things there. 
 
After a while of playing Mount & Blade you will learn how to kill bandits and other players. 
First of all you can choose a city, a town or a village in the open world and then have to find a man to buy food and sell items. 
If you want to know if there are other players in the game, you have to do the dance. You can do this by entering a building or by talking to someone who is on a road. 
This should take about 3-5 minutes and will inform you if there are other players in the game. 
Once you have explored enough and have found a stable you can hire one of the few horses available and then start looking for a couple of camps. 
First of all you need to find someone who will buy your equipment in the black market, you should talk to them and if you have money pay him. 
Then you can go to the camp and start killing looters and deserters. 
You can kill mercenaries in two different ways. 
By hitting them in the back with a knife or crossbow or by shooting them from the ground and then running away before they can run away. 
You should be looking for a lot of different mercenaries. 
For example if you are a thief you should search the army camp or maybe the center of the city. 
If you want to steal someone you must follow them to their house or to their stable where they will put you to sleep and then you can go to their house and take it. 
 
If you want to farm vegetables you need to find someone to sell you produce in the black market. 
If you want to go fishing you can do this by asking someone in the city for advice, or by killing someone who is fishing or you can look in the beach, the water, lakes or the river for a man who will ask you for a few silver coins. 
To have money you should kill some other player. You need to do this in the correct way, that is, you don’t kill him the wrong way.
